What car don't BMW currently make that you'd most like to see?
I'd love to see their take on a proper sports/junior supercar. Something 2 seater, like the original M1, but with the M5 V8 and a maybe a hybrid system for torque full!
Or an M3 estate. That's something I'd actually buy. Slightly more sensibly would be a performance plug in hybrid... so like the 330e but using a more powerful engine, perhaps the 6 pot. What's others thoughts?

I don't want one. But why no 330e touring? Or any touring hybrid. Surly it would make sense to the fleet/company buyer?

Yeah that too. If one had been available then I'd have one and we'd have swapped the 335d we have for something like a M240i

a 3 series allroad competitor that's a bit more rugged than a normal estate but not as full on as an SUV - with AWD and a 6 cylinder petrol...

That's coming with the next gen one apparently, along with the X3M.

Having tried a GLE Merc with the hybrid, the underfloor batteries and practical load carrying were bad bed fellows, 2" step up from bumper to boot floor which really messed up getting dog pen in boot!

M3 Touring. In Sakhir Orange and Silverstone leather. I'd have one in a snap.

A modern take on the Z3M breadvan, but lightweight, straight six petrol, upgraded brakes and suspension, +2 seater with a tailgate. Split and folding rear seat = either luggage or rear passengers, or a bit of both.

M240i seems to have disappeared from the configurator. Perhaps they have stopped taking new orders to clear a production backlog?

I'd personally like to see a 1 series with a bigger boot capacity that can comfortably carry a dog larger than a Scottie, so perhaps an M1 Touring
The dream would be M3 Touring but I suspect it would be ridiculously priced, the realist in me would be happy with a more pokey 340i Touring with say 420-450 hp |
