Quick question... I have xHP flashed stage 2 at the moment but I have a pretty laggy shift from 1st to 2nd gear. Will increasing or decreasing "Tq reduction upshifts" counter this behavior?

can anyone review my adaptions value whether it's normal range or something not right? I read the description saying that anything above +40mbar is not normal, and my D and E is above that value.
something to worry about? Thanks. |

Hi
I recently shift froml stage 3 to stage 2 (3 was a bit too harsh from my perspective). I noticed DSC off at stage 2 is very slow (like in comfort), despite the description. I reached out to RBT, they said in the latest stage 2 version, they "tone down" DSC off shifts. Some cars was having weird shift in DSC off... sad. Do you think running stage 3 with tuned tq reduction upshift may calm a bit stage 3 ? |

Hi all,
Still quite new to the forum after getting my 435d. It's in the garage for some work, including new suspension, a stage 1 remap and xHP stage 3 and can't wait to get it back. Can anyone help me with the break in period please. is there anything specific that i need to do (drive in eco pro, avoid sport etc) for the first 50 miles? Thanks |

xHP has a very comprehensive user manual and "Questions and answers" database. I strongly recommend you to read them. They include the break in period.
To answer your question quickly: Just normal driving throughout the first 50 or so miles. As many gear changes (under gentle load) as possible. You don't need to drive as if the car is about to break, but you should not push it or drive sporty either. And clearly no WOT.

Hey guys. I'm currently running xHP default torque limits for AWD which are below. This is for my 340i xDrive running 8HP50 transmission. I feel like these numbers are excessive. Anyone running different numbers and why?
1-650nm 2-800nm 3-1100nm 4-1200nm 5-1200nm 6-1200nm 7-1200nm 8-1200nm

Why do you think they are excessive? In practical terms, xHP lifts (as "removes") the torque limits. That is why the actual ones applied look cosmic. Reality is - unless you heavily modify your car, you would never get close to 1000 Nm or above. And if you do you will need a gearbox mod/replacement anyway, to make use of that power.
I reckon the limits on 1st and 2nd gear are just precaution and to ensure some traction. To answer your question - I, as most others, have not modified the torque limits. My OTS tune gives me ~600 Nm, I have yet to worry about hitting 1200 Nm
