diverter valve?

Does f30 330d have a diverter valve? Do they fail?

No, diesels do not have diverter valves.

The job of a diverter (or dump valve) is to prevent the turbo from stalling from a pressure buildup when a throttle plate is closed. As diesels don't use throttles to control AFR, they aren't necessary
