Instrument cluster problem/display replacemant
Hello guys, so a few days ago LCD display on my instrument cluster just went grey and stayed like that. Basically, it died.
I don't have clue about coding if I get a new one, so I found a cheap basic instrument cluster. My question is is it possible to replace just that LCD display from one unit to my unit that is already on the car, so I don't have to code anything? And if it is possible does someone knows if that LCD just plug and play or not, because I didn't see any video or post where someone is taking apart the whole instrument cluster? Thanks |

Look up details on the cluster at RealOEM.com.
My guess is the small LCD is not sold as separate part, in that case you either source cluster from salvage place and R&R the small display or maybe contact an electronics repair shop that works on car instrumentation- they are out there. Alternative: new cluster, probably very pricey. |

If you can't find someone local to repair/ replace that LED display, you may want to talk to a repair vendor such as :https://xemodex.com/us/product/instr...2-f33-f34-f36/ . I used a similar company to repair my dead pixels on the cluster on my 99 540.
