Range Rover prices, current bargains ??

I currently think Range Rovers represent amazing value for for money. They have come done so much in price that they are bargains and I can't see them dipping any lower, more rather as things settle and the newer models get there security upgraded, they will maybe go up a bit!

I thought now is the time, and although I likes the looks and the majesty of the Range Rover Sport, and they are quite possibly the best allrounder, I could not handle the P400e version and its god awful drivetrain and battery range! I bought the SERIOUSLY better diesel version and it was £15k cheaper than it was 7 months ago, and £32k cheaper than it was 18 months ago from what the guy paid for it as an approved used and what he sold it to me for!

The bonus is, if I bought one new (which is financial suicide to me) I managed to get exactly what I would get with regards to colour, spec and options!

Anyone been looking at the prices?

Most likely due to nobody wants them as keep getting stolen. And those who have got one can't get insurance on it!

Very nice.. Not my cup of tea but they're undeniably handsome and capable, with massive presence. Pics?

I was offered a fully loaded first edition Sport SV very recently (the one with the M5 engine and gearbox) for £185k and they also wanted me to sign something saying I would not flip it for the first year.

I actually wanted it as a daily drive and had no intention of selling it for at least a year.

Insurance said No.

According to my broker, there is an unofficial blanket ban on Landrover from the majority of the main underwriters at the moment.

Extremely good looking combo.
My Volvo might be worth ~£30k and with no spare money I would need to be in that vicinity - that would likely mean buying an older than my Volvo RRS so wouldn’t be so keen on that.

Looks lovely. I've been keeping and eye on the 2nd hand FF RR's since the newer model came out. The insurance still seems to be a killer, not sure if that gets reduced if you add ghost to them or something to stop the easy hacks. Sadly Mrs Nibbles keeps refusing to let me seriously think about swapping out the G31 for a FF RR as she says we don't live in Chelsea or Cheshire.

Thanks. I would not normally give Silver a second look, but although it says Silver on the log book, its more like a pearl grey with Gold in it! Its a beautiful colour and I remember seeing it when they first facelifted this model in the showroom and thought thats the one!

We had one of those for 6 weeks last year whilst the I-Pace was having its heater replaced. Was pretty awful from a driving experience, reminded me of driving a Sprinter van or similar. Was a pretty amazing car from a practicality point of view though, was sad to see it go by the end of it. Kids loved it.

They do look good and the colour suits it. Is it right that RR have now solved the theft issue with them as that seemed to be the catalyst for the price drop? People were selling as they couldn’t insure, or at least not at a sensible price.

Given your turnover of cars, I’m assuming that you must be in the motor trade?

Looks great and the pricing is currently very attractive.

I had a day recently in a new shape full size Range Rover Autobiography. Really lovely and total luxury.

Sorry to bang the same old drum about this product but it WILL break, and that's their inherent problem. They fail too much.

We have sold 10 JLR product in the last 6 weeks and 8 of them have come back. And no, that's not our prep standards! It's just sh1t product.

Key faults, exhaust emissions faults, programming faults, the list is endless.

I sold an Audi A4 Avant to a JLR employee yesterday who works in development and even he said they rush product to market, and their warranty invoices are histerical.

So nothing has changed since I was with the brand when facelift Freelander, sorry Evoque launched.

BUT, when they work they are awesome. They are beautiful cars and have an air about them that isn't found with any other car imo.

Silicon silver is a lovely colour, came close to speccing that on one of my Discos.

Range Rover Sport and majesty in the same sentence though 😂

Not really a vehicle size/style that has ever been on my radar to be honest (still have difficulty thinking of them as a “car”, TBH), but, were it to have been, then I am sure I would have looked at RR as the originator of the breed (so to speak) and certainly in the colour combination that you have gone for I’d say it looks smart enough (still not a fan of the dark glass aesthetically, mind)… A darker type of silver is always a solid choice these days… Black wheels are a personal choice, but I prefer a graphite to a darker black…

My difficulty with these vehicles is the sheer size of them and how much space they take up in the urban environment… They don’t really fit in out car park, here, so if one parks up next to you then you are hampered getting in/out of your own car… and that’s not the other driver being a whatnot, they really just don’t fit an old standard sized parking place…

I cannot talk about “presence”, driving around in a bright blue hatch (hardly blending in) but (strangely, for what is an imposing vehicle) they do seem less OTT in that respect than some of their competitors (and I am a fan of the two box and keep it simple shape/style… it is like a hatch on steroids, in many ways)… they don’t have the overtly aggressive grille treatment some other models have…

Defenders parking in our car park, at home, do rather take over... Fortunately, the folk who have them are pretty considerate, all told, and so we all get along and work it out without animosity... but, still, they are big beasts for an urban (village) environment...

Pulled the trigger on a used 2019 Range Rover back in August 2022, for £58k…..

Didn’t even make it to delivery due to various electrical gremlins. Just having a look at webuyanycar…. £24k. Eye watering drop. I’m glad it was faulty…. Silver lining and all that.

Most car dealers/ supermarkets are refusing to take them in px anymore… pretty much saying go to webuyanycar
