Arizona is forced to use Ethanol / Methanol blend fuels.

In a nutshell our "Environmentally Friendly" fuel blends cost more to make so they made up the difference by cutting the Octane from 93 to 91.

Its supply and demand that has forced fuel prices down , not the stock market. There is a massive glut of oil and little demand. A barrell of oil is less than 1/2 of what it was last summer. Gas was about $1.35/litre for a while. ......now around $.86. was $1.85 on the water last summer!!

$2.20/gal for premium here in Charlotte's Costco. That's the lowest I've seen for premium since 2000.

Good one. Summers are good for July up here.....just.....
Over $20 saving on a tank from summer. Thats significant. I've never understood those that line up when difference is $.02......thats max $1.20 after you wait for 20 minutes...idling. I wonder how low it will go?

I've been paying 2.10 for 93 here in MI. Last time I went to jersey, about 2.25.

These are good times.

There had been a glut of oil for over 5 years, even when the price 110$ the stockpiles were at historic high levels. Supply and demand are minuscule compared to the gaming of the price by the market due to the inherent leverage. 95% of oil and has futures do not result in delivery's.
