Finally got around to installing my Remus axle back... Looks great, sound is getting better but the smell & smoke of the machining oil or whatever they back into it is horrible... sooooo bad I thought we had left packing material in it somehow.

I haven't logged it yet but we definitely need more cooling for this engine. I did tons of research for an aftermarket oil coolers for our cars and ER seems to have the best one cause it features transmission oil cooling too. But I don't really wanna spend $900 for an oil cooler setup so I decided to go this route. It only costs $300 for my setup.
Another thing with oem oil cooler is they use hard lines so it's more complicated to swap them out and it's very tight around the passenger side. I did try to take the oem oil cooler out to fit that one in but unsuccessful.

Not horrible, but you could do this for MUCH cheaper. You just need those banjo bolts and can use an Earl's cooler from Summitracing. That said, do you know if the fittings are connected to a thermostat controlled output? Reason being, if you don't have a t-stat controlling flow to the cooler you can actually over-cool the oil.

I did realize that before i put everything together. That's why i want to datalog to see how the oil temp gonna be. Since my oil temp is really hot after 20 mins of driving ( close to 250F) cause I'm running MHD stage 2 also. I'll post the log later when i have time.
I know Mishimoto stuffs are a little overpriced but I don't have much time to do all the customizations. There are much more cheaper alternatives on the market i know.

I have it.

Give it some time, i even felt some drone and i was so angry about the purchase. It was so annoying for me.

After the manufacturing leftovers are gone you will love it, be patient, lets say 1 month or so.

Yeah, I've added a few more KM at higher rpm 4k on the hwy for ~20 minutes. Drone was there yesterday but it and the smell seem lessened this morning. I've got a longer drive (~200km) tomorrow to visit some family. We'll see how it is after that.

Interior upgrades

This is my 2nd F31 and I love the concept as well as the car! For me the 2019 interior looked just a little dated - perhaps a little less luxurious than I thought the executive package would provide so I decided to do a few trim upgrades. The good bit is that all of these can be reversed later on with the careful application of patience, elbow grease, and a heat gun ;-)
I provided stock interior pic on BMWUSA's build site, for comparison (can you spot all the changes?).

Stock. I checked when I got to work. No scratches. It was just blown snow. Whoever plows our development comes at 5:30. I leave for work at 5.

So this is the reason "CUV"s like the x1/3 and Merc GLA/GLC are so popular... People thinking they need a "taller" vehicle for the dozen or so times a year it would actually be an advantage.

Of course most of those are about the same ground clearance as an '80s-'90s American sedan. Maybe the American Brands had it right all along..

Lol. I didn’t plan on getting a third dog but now the bmw is too small. Dogs have to take turns going for car rides. A bigger vehicle would help with the kid and dogs.

The car handles beautifully in the snow. I had a coworker try to chase me in a Dodge Charger this morning. He got stuck in the parking lot.

Go out backwards or park something sacrificial to bash down the wall

"What did you do to your F3X today?"

I kindly reminded her that she's got a lot to live up to

I think you have just about every eBay cosmetic trim piece

Wait, I can think of one more, the button trim for the headrest tilt. There also exists a matte chrome trim for it. Also missing (I think) the red engine start button.
