750i £597 12+35 PCH

Following on from the very good deals on the 730d. This struck me as a similarly good deal for a 750i with 10k miles

Also available as £780 1+35 PCH

There can’t be many cheaper V8s and this is a fabulous 530bhp unit, albeit in a car that suits a diesel rather well. I’d prefer this engine in an M850i or an M550i.

I think that’s why cars like this suit leasing or PCP. I wouldn’t be too keen on buying one.

With my current 2 year lease, I would be amazed if it had turned out to be cheaper overall to buy the car rather than lease.

That's nearly as expensive as the brand new 750i on finance! As JD6 says, the lease costs are as cheap as you will get for one of these cars, even nearly new. The trouble is they arent exactly handy for around town and if you are doing long journeys why not get the diesel....?

It would have had 25-30k off the list price when new so you're looking at 15-20k over nearly 2 years rather than 45k

Still a lot of money but it's a luxury car but no point in thinking the list price is relevant in terms of depreciation, plus it's a lease so the residual doesn't matter just the monthly.

Surely the 50i is as perfect a match for the 7 as it is the 5 or 8? Silky petrol smoothness is what any luxury saloon needs. Good though diesels are from a muscle and range perspective, they are always 'present'.

Great deal, thanks for sharing. To put into perspective, that's a V8 limo for £7k less over four years (on a 12+48 basis) than my diesel SUV, yet the 750i xDrive Msport has a list price £14k higher. Brilliant for those that need or want this sort of car.

This bizarrely holds some appeal, despite me typically preferring smaller cars. Think it’s the big V8 and pseudo Q-car appeal plus the fact that at 1970kg it’s no heavier than an M5. Quite like the idea of debadging and remapping to 700bhp 😎

Faster than the outgoing M3 at 4.1 in a straight line, just don't try it on a track

This does appeal a lot to me, but I do feel that the 7 is a little too refined to make the most of a V8 lump. If I'm going to get 20mpg and pay a large premium over the 730d, I'd like to hear the engine growl.

I tried a previous gen 760iL a few years ago on one of those BMW Experience days - lovely car and very quick, but the noise was so supressed it felt to me like a waste of a V12.

To me the 8 would suit the 50i engine better - it has similar build quality to the 7 Series (the 7 and the 8 share their own factory), but it has a much sportier feel, even in 8GC form. My 840i feels surprisingly chuckable - crazy for a car of its size and you can hear the engine doing its thing.
