What did you pay for your car?
Hey all, looking to purchase a 440 Gran Coupe xDrive which is already proving to be a hard challenge just finding one.
Id like to know a good deal when I see one so what have y’all paid for your car? I know there’s a lot of variables but if I find a used car around pre-pandemic pricing I’d like to be able to identify it and jump on it asap. Thanks! |

I paid 43k for my cpo 2019 440i coupe with 24k miles, m sport, digital cluster, executive package, parking assistance, driving assistance, MPPSK and track handling package 5/2022. Was a bit inflated but exactly what I was looking for. During nomal times it should have been around 39k based on searching a couple years ago.

do you honestly think modern cars that are 5 years old at most, rust that easily? this isn't the 90s anymore…

About to pull the trigger on a German spec 2020 BMW 430i (non-xDrive) with ~8000 miles, with navigation system and heads up display, for €27,500. I work for the U.S. military in Germany, and am able to avoid paying VAT. Dollar versus Euro exchange is REALLY good right now due to massive Germany inflation, so this feels like a good deal. I been searching like a madman for good deals while the exchange rate is rediculous. Almost pulled the trigger on a low mileage 2019 Golf GTI, but this car is SO much nicer, at the same price, with lower mileage.
Never had a car with a heads up display, and the one we test drove like two years ago, a U.S. spec Mazda CX-5, had nothing more than speed in black letters, whereas this display includes full color, traffic sign recognition piped to HUD, and integrates with Navi to send directions/distance to turn to the HUD. If I had known such options were available, we would have bought a newer car much sooner. I am a tech guy in my work, and this car fits the bill once it has the add-ons I am working on. Planning on adding a digital cluster once I make the purchase, + adding Android Auto at a €300 cost, so will have a relatively advanced infotainment package for ~€29,000 out the door, depending on whether I can source the digital display in country and can get VAT deducted, or whether I need to order from bimmertech. Will also be adding a reverse camera, so there's another €1200.00 or so. Comes with "adaptive cruise control", but not the self steering driver assistance package. We are going on the test drive in a few hours, so I will try to figure out which driver's assistance package it has. Not particularly clear from the German language posting on autoscout24. Used car prices are crazy right now in Germany, but this is a super low mileage (likely previously leased) car, and will come with a good portion of the manufacturer warranty. Might come with free oil changes for like two years. I will be taking the VIN to the local BMW dealer to check out all that stuff before purchase. If I understood the dealer correctly, BMW will give a courtesy top-to-bottom inspection prior to purchase, plus an oil change. Last edited by shortbusruss; 08-16-2022 at 10:12 PM.. Reason: Cuz |

Sept of '21, Bought '19 440 X-drive, M-sport coupe with 11k miles , paid 42,999. But in the deal I got $24k for a '15 silverado (with 90k miles , broken AC and rust starting to bubble through the paint. Paid $36k for it new) Not a steal, but I was happy enough, painless process through Carmax.

I believe all LCI F cars (2017+ for 430i/440i) come with at least a reverse camera. The driver assistance package for F series cars is passive with just warnings. The blind spot monitoring is nice. The new G series cars have the partial self driving. Heads up display is awesome especially with speed limit info. Once you have it you'll never go back to a car without it. Super useful when using navigation. Last edited by eff32fl; 08-17-2022 at 09:40 AM.. |

Given I am buying an EU spec vehicle, it will not be exportable to the U.S. without paying a ton of money, I need to keep purchase costs as low as possible, in case it needs to be sold quickly. We test drove the car today and can get by without rear view camera, and the full driver assistance package is a "nice to have", but not if it increases price by €4,000-€5,000.. The adaptive cruise control worked pretty darn well, and that is something our current 2011 Tiguan does not have, so I am happy, for the price. |

A friend just recently bought a CPO 2018 440i xDrive GC M Sport with 20k miles for $40k. For reference I bought my CPO 2018 340i M Sport with about 33k miles for $32,500 about 18 months ago. At the time it had 15 months of new car warranty plus the CPO warranty.

I found mine on BMW’s CPO search site. I think he found his on AutoTrader or Cars.com. I think one way he was able to get his relatively good deal was because he’s actually the third owner. Normally the CPO warranty is only transferable in a private party sale, but because this car was at a BMW dealership they were able to preserve the CPO warranty for him.

Just got mine like two weeks ago.
CPO Sapphire Black 2014 F30 335I non m-sport @ 86k miles for $20k with the additional warranties from the dealer $18,500 without Came with m performance brakes, heated seats and mirrors, sunroof, parking assist W rear view camera. Even got the bigger iDrive screen that the earlier F30s had. Only 3 owners, and one being a dealer, one only owning for like 2 months (probably another reseller), and the only actual owner kept it extremely well maintained. Could've gotten something a little better, but especially in this market I'm very satisfied with what I got. |

2017 440i Xdrive msport with 44k miles for $33k
From a dealer in the bay area. Car was previously in an accident which is why it was so cheap. Unnoticeable besides the front end having no microscratches in the paint. Traded in an s6 with a clapped transmission |
