Specs: 18x9" ET30 square on stock M-Sport Adaptive suspension w THP. Tires are MPS4S 245/40-18. No mods at all.

Do they poke? Yes, by a few mm, but it looks stock-ish... Just a bit more aggressive. No rubbing and they weigh almost nothing. Happy with 'em.
Quick follow up: Now that my stock 18" Style 398 wheels are off the car, I weighed them (with no tires, centercaps, or valve stems) and was SHOCKED at how heavy they are: 26.55 & 26.9 lbs. each, F & R respectively.

This compares to 18.72 lbs. each for the 18x9" EC-7RS wheels. That's 8 lbs. less un-sprung weight per corner, a reduction of 32 lbs. in total. The improvement is ride quality, bump compliance and overall smoothness is noticeable, even though I was already running non-RFT tires before (& after). Very happy here!

Awesome thread! Just helped me dial in my selection of ARC-8 Anthracite 18x9 ET30 wheels! Thanks.

Quick question, what brake calipers fit inside these wheels? I have the base BMW brakes on my 440ix w/ M sport package I think. Looking to upgrade my "stop" in parallel with all the "go" I'm adding.

Every factory brake/m performance configuration on these cars will work with our 18x9 ET30 arc-8, but the 370mm 4 piston kits can't have wheel weights placed in the patch of your front brake calipers as they'll touch the caliper body.

This doesn't include any conversions from the M3 380mm kits.

Just wiped them down because of the rain yesterday. The sun was hitting them just right so I snapped some quick pics. They really don't do them justice as the brushed aluminum finish absolutely gleams in the light. Sometimes I open the front door just for a peak, hehe.

Was debating over ec7 or this, but after seeing yours, I am def getting the arc8. Have you lowered it yet? If so, do they rub? Also do you got spacers on them in the pictures?

I’m super happy with them. Pics are stock height for rwd and no spacers 255/40 squared. I bet if I lower it It may rub.

If I can go back In time I may consider 245/275 for more aggressiveness and hyper silver so they pop out more. But the black does match my accents.

You can’t go wrong with either of those wheels.

....when the novelty of the black wears out on you, agreed - - the hyper-silver would be a nice contrast that would pop

Picked up a used set from an AWD car. It perfect but for the price I figured I might as well do it.

18x9 +42 with 245/40

Im heavily considering 255/40 or 265/35 for the rears. Guessing based on the offset I might need a spacer but ARC8s are literally my favorite wheels and I’m so glad to have yet another set on my second BMW 😂
