Try: DX534O2VHRNECAFJAADA

File looks fine to me.

Did you copy the FSC.exe from NBT_FSC folder into the tools directory? If you did can you send me your lookup.xml file?

Doh! I thought you had issues generating the code.

Couple of the more obvious things:

When you enter the code, the 'O2' did you use a number zero or the letter O? Why not try both!

Have you got the NBT or CIC?
Have you downloaded the correct NBT 2015-1 maps?

For anyone else in Oz watching this thread, I successfully generated the same FSC code that I bought for the 2014 maps, so then thought 'Woohoo', onto generate a new one for the 2015 maps, but...

... Australia isn't in the list in the generator software :-(

Update: Okay, research indicates I need to edit the LOOKUP.XML file and add one for the Australia/New Zealand maps. However, I don't know the details for the entry. Kitster, you indicated it was pretty simple, but how do you work out all of the values?

You need to insert a new entry into your lookup.xml.

Example:

<SgbmId id="NAVD_000014BA_255_001_091" SWID_FscShort="00AA0003" name="Road Map AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND Next 2014" supplier="TAS" sop="01.07.2012" version="10_09" MapOrderNumberBMW="" MapOrderNumberMINI="" MapOrderNumberRR="" successorMapOrderNumberBMW="" successorMapOrderNumberMINI="" successorMapOrderNumberRR="">
<EcuVariant CompatibilityIdentifier="NBT-HB" Format="CIC" />
<SwUpdate SwUpdateEntry=""/>
  • SgbmId id="NAVD_000014BA_255_001_091" --> Change that to the new name of your map file download.
  • SWID_FscShort="00AA0003" --> Change that to 00AA0004
  • name="Road Map AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND Next 2014" --> Change that to the new map name e.g. Road Map AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND Next 2015 / 2015-1
  • sop="01.07.2012" --> Change to when the map was released. I don't know if it's a checked value? So change it to something like 01.11.2013

The rest remains the same.

Normally I would test this out before posting but based in the UK, the Australian/New Zealand maps are no good to me

Thanks Kitster, acknowledge that you can't test, happy to be the guinea pig. The one question I have is how to I work out what "SgbmId id="? should be, or doesn't it matter?

Here's a directory dump of the Aus/NZ 2015 files, if that helps:

Based on other entries, I have added another entry and changed to this:

</SgbmId>
<SgbmId id="NAVD_000014BA_255_001_092” SWID_FscShort="00AA0004” name="Road Map AUSTRALIA / NEW ZEALAND Next 2015” supplier="TAS" sop=“14.10.2014” version="10_09" MapOrderNumberBMW="" MapOrderNumberMINI="" MapOrderNumberRR="" successorMapOrderNumberBMW="" successorMapOrderNumberMINI="" successorMapOrderNumberRR="">
<EcuVariant CompatibilityIdentifier="NBT-HB" Format="CIC" />
<SwUpdate SwUpdateEntry=""/>

Will give it a go now...

When you unpack the rar files, they normally appear in a folder called (like): NAVD_000014BA_255_001_091, in which you will find the 1,2,3 ....directories etc etc.

Based off the last Oz 2014 map, the code was NAVD_000014BA_255_001_091, why not try NAVD_000014BA_255_001_092. Worst case it'll generate a bad code which your car will reject.

Yes, NAVD_000014BA_255_001_092 is the directory name :-)

You can find the map's actual name in the "Info_Map.imp" file.
