Seriously though, flashed the tranny last night. Will be driving it on a loooong road trip tomorrow and ill report back. I really didnt notice tooo much driving home from work yesterday but it did seem quicker on the shifts. only was really able to get on it sort of hard once as I was passing one of the 5th gen 4.6 300hp mustangs with loud ass exhaust (he didnt wanna play after that btw).

If I would have had it last wednesday I could have compared it at the dragstrip

And you sharing your experience is appreciated by us all. Me included.
But comparing products only trying one, does not make sense.
If you didn't understand my comment on soft drinks then let me try again.
I have tried Bilstein B16 IRC coilovers and was happy with it. But I would never recommend them over KW's similar product since I never tried it. Get it?

Hej.
Jeg har også kørt med xHP på min forrige bil, E91 og var godt tilfreds. Og hvis alt går efter planen kommer det på min nuværende F36'er i kommende weekend.
Og du har da ret, hvor meget har man brug for?
Min pointe var bare at ham som skrev sagde PTF var bedre end xHP uden at ha prøvet xHP.
Synes jeg ikke man kan....

Transmission flash now UP for everyone.

From FB:

8-Speed Automatic Transmission flashing through bootmod3 is now live.

This applies to the ZF 8HP45 transmission cars only. The purpose of this addition to bootmod3 is to lift the torque limits on 3rd and 6th gears that are there on many F series 335i, 435i cars. Without this flash the 3rd and 6th gear load/torque targets (boost) end up far lower than the tune targets (at around 11-12psi) and a DME flash cannot lift them on its own.

This flash is included in the bm3 license at no additional cost like the S55 GTS TCU flash.

There may be further updates to the flash over time to provide additional feature if/where required but this is a start.

In the pics attached you can see an example of the OEM torque cap in 3rd and 6th gears and the change which sets all the gears equally. Not rocket science or brain surgery but it helps get full power in 3rd and 6th gears!

It still shows beta for me. I have not tried flashing since I’m at work.
Interested in seeing if they did anything with shift speed or throttle bleeps.

From what I can feel and hear with it:

- Blips are slightly enhanced
- Shifting is smoother and slightly quicker in D,S, and M modes
- For some reason the burbles are a little louder or more pronounced
- Shifts are held out 200-300 rpm longer in all driving modes
- 3rd/6th gear tq limiters removed. Pretty significant seat of the pants feeling during a 3rd gear pull

I was honestly expecting shifts to be a little quicker but it's still better than it was before.

I’m curious how this is going to compare to the XHP flash. Obviously this is free for those who already have BM3 but I wonder now if the XHP flash performs any better and might still be worth $350
