what modifications have you done to the car in total?
sorry for the newb question. just got my F30 a few months ago and looking to spice it up a little bit. btw where in NJ do you live?

So that would be downpipe, chargepipe, intake, exhaust? No meth kit? Mind listing the manufactures? Just curious. Very impressive numbers btw! Interesting that you lose quit a bit of torque on map 5.

Map 5 isn't bad up top, but it could be a little inconsistent down low and mid rpm range in my personal experience... as confirmed by my dyno.

Heres what I'm running currently:
  • AFE Open Air Intake with Dryflow Filter
  • JB4 with Bluetooth Module
  • Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipes (anodized black)
  • Wagner Tuning Catted Downpipe
  • AWE Tuning Exhaust with Performance Mid-pipe

WOW, this is all JB4 tuning?
I feel like my throttle sticks a little in map 2, how do you deal with the throttle response? It might also be my BEF>

After this I decided to do some independent dyno testing with my JB4.

*Please note the below runs contained e40 (aside from stock baseline number which had 93 pump gas.) If you are running straight pump gas, expect the numbers to be lower.

Here are the results:

Bone stock: 273whp, 298wtrq
FBO Stock Boost: 311whp, 322wtrq
Map 1: 354whp, 384wtrq
Map 2: 356whp, 424wtrq
Map 5: 376whp, 396wtrq
Map 7: 400whp, 473wtrq

Wow and no FMIC IMPRESSIVE!!

Running great! I've since converted to BM3 (since June 2017) and have a FMIC now. Power comes on smoother and every day driving is more consistent then the JB4. Sorry for bringing up an old post but the car I just bought is at a similar stage as yours was when you originally posted. When you ran the dyno did you just put in the e40 mix and flip to map 7 or did you have to make any adjustments the jb4 doesn’t do? I have FBO but just want to make sure I’m not missing any steps before going to map 7. Thanks

Most settings were default, but with a few tweaks. When running higher ethanol mixes (e30-40) I would log a few times to make sure everything looks good... as fueling settings may need to be tweaked. I set FOL to 90 (which is the highest setting IIRC) but everything else was set to default.

When my car gets done you will see why I don't waste time running a plain ole everybody has FBO 335i on the public highways like you guys. Been there done that!

Every single car I have ever owned Datsun,Nissan,Toyota,Mitsu,BMW,Mercedes Benz has been highly modded. Same will eventually happen with this 335i. And when it's done maybe you will finally get it!

That's how my crew rolls! Ask Kew, we know the same people since we have been doing this since you were in grade school!!!

I give props to Sandro though for going with the Pure turbs. That's different

Even if I had a FBO M3(male version manual tranny) it would be a waste of time for me until I put the Pure Turbos on to be speeding around the Public highways with the same mods as everyone else. Key is not to be a follower but be different!

If it aint making 500 plus whp or running mid to low 11's @ 125 plus mph, high 10s @ 130 mph plus then to me its slow!
