[Help] ISTA Unable to Service Transmission Oil

This is the information for my car:
Year: 2013
Model: 316iA (F30)
Connection Method: ENET Cable

I am trying to change the transmission fluid. I understand that I have to use the “ABL Service function, display and reset adaptation values” service function.
I am able to find the option. But it’s greyed out. Does anyone know why?

This is a video of the error: https://youtu.be/jX2v5fNXE6Q

I now have another problem. It says "The programming system could not be initialised. The ISTA installation may be damaged or incorrectly configured. Reinstall ISTA. If problems persist, contact local support.

That's not important if you don't need the programming function of ISTA.
You can deactivate it in the ISTAGUI.exe.config or you can just ignore it.

I did not use ISTA in my fluid change but you need to know the process. The ISTA can reset transmission adaptations and nanny the temperatures but I used an infrared meter and skipped ISTA.

Would ISTA go through switching through all the gears? or do I have to do it manually?

Would the IR thermometer be inaccurate? Since the oil sump of F30's transmission is made of plastic?

Maybe. You could point the IR on the area where the fill plug is.

I have the same 'grey ABL...' problem.
Do i need to get the transmission warm? Or
Do i need to wait until the menu gets ungrey? Could it be get ungrey just for waiting? Or is the problem because of my programme broken or sth?
Thanks
