Josh / Eric / Anyone who can...any way to get some pictures of the cutout from the underside? I'm really liking the template...makes it look very do-able. How did you guys smooth out the burrs / make it all look smooth? Does the cutout edge need to be painted, or does it disappear once the tips are installed?

Dark: I haven't experienced our system on a DP-equipped vehicle. The note this system provides would not give you the aforementioned "loud" presentation. It's very controlled and depends on the throttle input. Your aforementioned idea of the diffuser swap should happen quite smoothly seeing you're basically all set up to do so.

Is this what you're looking for?
As far as noise, for me, the AWE exuast is perfect. The only complaint that I have is the same complaint that I have with every turbocharged BMW combined with a sport exhaust: at cold start it's a touch annoying. When the wastegates are cycling like mad, for the first 20-30 seconds of a cold start, Turbo BMWs sound like a wildebeest fart. The same is true with the shop 135i (Catless DP, Factory 1 Series M Couple quad exhaust with center cat). It sounds like a$$ at first then smooths out to an awesome sound. |
