We downloaded the .iso today and installed it on WinXP VM, it works only on 32bit WinXP though. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be up to date(models included from 1992 to 2007 "only") and I personally wasn't able to find wiring diagrams for example.
@XuLeTZ any luck ? PS: for now ISTA+ seems to be a good alternative... |

If that is what it takes for you to consider Tesla - you should have bought one long time ago. 🤦🏻*♂️

This is part of the push by manufacturers to drive not only DIY but also indys out of the repair business. BMW isn't the only one trying to force customers to have repairs done by their dealers. If you live in Massachusettts vote 'Yes' on Question One. https://www.boston25news.com/news/lo...FAOAUY6M6XZOI/
The main opposition to Question One comes from the auto manufacturers. They're predictably using scare tactics rather than facts to argue their case. |

It's only proprietary if subject to copyright protection. For that to be the case newtis would have to be using photos and text previously published by BMW. That may be the case, I don't know, but even then all newtis would have to do is change to a server in China with a .cn address, or any of a dozen other countries that routinely ignore international copyright laws. I don't advocate that, as it amounts to theft of intellectual property. But nonetheless what BMW is doing has the distinct odor of rat and should not stand.

The voters in Massachusetts have spoken: Question 1, the right to repair law, passed by a 3:1 margin.

You actually can thank Apple for all of this and Steve Jobs. They learned they can basically get away with whatever they want and find ways to over price, or require them for warranty and repair to keep making the crazy capitalistic profits. It's all about the Benjamin's and finding anyway to reduce costs and increase profits by any means possible is their mantra.
Political rant over...haha |

Sooo... let me get this right. All of you are b*ching, moaning, and complaining because BMW forced a take down of their pirated info?
Really? Really? You think we have any leg to stand on here? And this is a reason to NEVER buy a BMW? Fricking snowflakes..... |

Yes surely we need to pay $2500 for their proprietary information on how to fix the cars that we already bought, bootlicker.

How is this different than any other brand? You think the other brands give you free access to their service manuals? No, of course not. Some will sell them at the parts counter for quite a sum as well. We have just been lucky to sneak a peak to pirated and bootlegged info for years, for free (that ISO is obviously previously stolen from BMW). The "man" has now shut that down. You don't need a service manual to fix things. It's just handy. |
