What’s everyone running for all season tires?
Just picked up a 15 335i M-Sport car today. It has the 18s on it don’t think I wanna upgrade just yet. I think it looks great the way it is. That being said the tires are junk on it and the dealer cut me back $1000 to replace them. I need something that is excellent in rain, does well in snow as well. I try not to drive in either, but sometimes it happens. Being awd i don’t have an issue if I need to drive in the snow. What’s everyone had the best luck with? I live in the Midwest (Kansas) so we do get snow. I had just put Michelin A/S 3+ on the c7 I traded in but didn’t get a chance to drive in the rain with it. Thanks in advance!

Conti DWS 06 or whatever the latest version of their DWS is. We run them on our 550xi and 440xi; ran them on the prior X5 and X5M too.

Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 (DWS for Dry, Wet & Snow) is an excellent tire. It's important to keep in mind that all season tires typically use a softer compound suitable for winter driving which means these tires don't last as long. 22K - 25K miles is about the average lifespan.

I had no issues with my Yokohama YK740 from Discount Tire. Was at 35k on it before I got rid of the car and the tires were still good. Whenever I get around to replacing my driveguard rfts, it will be replaced with the yk740s.

Currently have Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus - Go Flats and am in the process of trying the new Continental Pure Contact LS - Go Flats as well. I will never run a Run Flat again. I have had great luck with the P7. The new Pure Contact has great ratings so far and the price was very reasonable for the 18's. Getting them mounted on Saturday. Quiet all weather traction was high on my list due to my work commute.

DWS06's got me up a giant hill full of snow and ice this past storm. Passed a stuck Subi on the way up. The guys jaw was wide open while I drove by. Great tires.

Hello BMW Experts!
General G-MAX AS-05 I bought these tires to save a little so I could buy wheels too. The only thing I can find that is bad is the snow traction, but I don't like the DWS in the snow either. Murf Last edited by Littlebear; 10-30-2021 at 06:03 AM.. |

IIRC tirerack reviews indicated A/S3+ slightly better in dry/wet vs DWS06 with the conti having a slight advantage in comfort and the white stuff...
i opted for the dws06...it is certainly improved over the original which was plagued with a spongy sidewall... either way can't go wrong if you occasionally have to contend with winter conditions... |
