i'm thinking anything under 2000 psi is cause for concern so agree...

Yeah noticed that but timing and timing correction are ok, the ECU will close the throttle or pull timing if something not right.
But as I said it's a 2nd gear log I would like to see a proper 4th gear log for better judgement. Quote:

Adding mine here.

In terms of safety and performance logs are good, some corrections here and there but nothing dramatic.
Most probably the DTM light and missfires are a result of very low fuel rail pressure not spark plugs, could be a sign of HPFP failure. Other than DTM light and missfires are you noticing any long cranks ? Quote:

I have replaced spark plugs to the correct ones(NGK) and gapped them to 0.5mm. Some time ago I have also replaced fuel injectors, though that might be a reason as well. HPFP is TU oem, it's 1 year old. I will try to test it again, after snow will stop here. |

No, fuel pressure drop occurs in gear.
Check what fault code the DME registered.

hpfp behavior is normal , post shift your rpm drops , so output aswell , the quantity valve adjusts and comes right back up . although the resolution of your logging seems low , or is it normal in mg flasher ?
once again why gapping ?

maybe some users with xp in mg flasher can help
putting your units into psi is easier to read , because its mainly used overhere https://datazap.me/u/thomas/stg2-hpf...ata=3-17-18-20 this is how its looks in mhd , yours is too rough

It's not post shift it's in gear, hover to 5000 RPM in the log below, fuel pressure drops from 20 mpa to 11 mpa:

Hi Guys, I have a Stage 2+ 340i using BM3 OTS 93 Oct tune and brand new TU pump.. Just wondering whether you can give some inputs to my data-logs as there are some "knock detected" -- during normal driving and some on WOT. Is this troublesome?
I see that Cylinder 5 continue to see the biggest timing correction mostly, is this a cause of concern? How much timing correction will start being a problem, >5 degree? Logs on normal driving: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61e2...729b3b8e49702c https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61eb...729b3e67787c7a Logs on WOT (through several gears): https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61eb...90c640becd3103 https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61eb...729b40366d4ec5 Just wondering whether its the bad fuel octane, bad spark plugs (it is only 10k kilometres old) or heat? |

If Fuel pressure target also drops I would say yes.
Try re-gapping the spark plugs to original gap, if it didn't work buy another new set from a different source.

Hello!
Could someone please explain me what is "ignition angle" (vs timing correction), and what value is considered normal? Thank you!

Base Map E85 logs with Vargas GC ...car felt a bit faster than my 93 map but nothing crazy. A few more degrees of timing up top (2-3 degrees) but similar boost to 93 tune ... thoughts???

Everything about this data log is garbage
My timing pull is terrible
My HPFP is dropping during a pull My boost is off target My AFRs are fine Is all of this because of my HPFP dropping off? I have terrible fuel here in Utah (91 Octane) but I did dyno tune this car in the summer with PJ. This is stock turbo, stock fuel pump. https://datazap.me/u/wrxtobimmerguy/...39-40-41-42-43 This is dyno revision 3 https://datazap.me/u/wrxtobimmerguy/...39-40-41-42-43 Last edited by WrxToBeamerGuy; 01-28-2022 at 07:44 PM.. |
