Hello everyone
What do you think is the best setup for the best 60 foot time with bm3 and xhp. The problem is wheel spin in 1 gear.

Is it best to reduce wheel spin with bm3 and reduce power % by gear or is it in xhp torque reduce.

Witch ecu/tcu i best/fastest to handle it. I think the best way is only to use 1 of the app's to handle it.

What is your experience or throughts ?

The car is 340i rwd on 265/35 fk510 on 19*9.5" wheel . Best time is 2.07 with little brakeboost ,no diff, road surface

I only tested xHP and BM3 torque/boost reduction a couple of times but got hesitation when changing up to gear without torque/boost reduction. It was like the TCU/ECU had to think for a split second before it realised it should allow full torque/boost. So I don't use it anymore.

Try launching in 2nd gear with a bit of brake boost, I think that's what most people do who have at least a tune.
My best 60ft is 1.96 with still quite some wheelspin on 265/35 PS4S

My understanding from what I've read was a launch in 2nd gear will give you the best times since power is typically restricted in 1st gear due to the wheel spin.

Never personally checked one vs the other, but that's what others have said.

It is necessary to limit the boost in 1/2 gear in the firmware.
For example 1-16psi. 2-18psi.
And learn to start from 2nd gear.
If you have OTS firmware, then you can limit the boost using JB4.
Using Xhp is not convenient. The car sees this limit of the moment late, twitches, behaves not comfortably. There you can limit 6/7/8 gears.
But now this function is also available on JB4, starting with firmware version 20.

And of course you need at least semi-slicks for rear-wheel drive starts.

Hi Thanks

Sorry to her that xhp is to slow to react by torque reduction and to slow to give back the torque, so no go !!

Bm3 reduces the boost for the hole 1500-7000 engine speed which is olso not ideal. We only ned reduction from 3000-6000 or so.

So best way and most expensive is Tyre - Diff and but and food fealing. Maybe start from 2 gear with little brake boost.

is that the conclusion ?

thanks

Nice times, MHD OTS maps are impressive. My best 1/4 was 11.5 on the old BM3 OTS maps. I haven't had a chance to do a proper 1/4 on the new revised maps. I feel like I could squeeze an 11.3-11.4 on 93, and likely closer to 11.0 or 10.9 on E50.

When I was stock turbo, around 470-480 WHP, my best was 1.91 on a decently prepped track. All traction control off, first gear launch, just sort of rolling into it. MPS4S, 265/35-18. Not sure what it is now.

What that guy did in Kern's latest digest video was impressive: 1.531 60' time, 10.5 quarter-mile time on a stock turbo! Looks like he was running 17" wheels with just Firestone Indy 500's dropped to 17 to 18psi.
