That sucks. I'm heavily coded and tuned therefore reluctant to give it to them...

Interesting note, I was able to renew my RTTI/ map updates/remote services without issue today, my current subscription ends in a month..

Apparently, if you are able to renew your subscription, then you'll be fine, as far as this issue goes.

Only 3G vehicles are blocked from a subscription renewal, which is unofficial telltale sign that your vehicle's telemetry needs to be updated.

Got the car back. Not locked.

Was able to reflash the bootmod3 stage 2 with no issues. Only downside of the i-step update is the loss of the 5 blink tap-to-pass.

Did you code 5 blink feature with bimmercode? Were you able to successfully re-add the feature after the update?

I had it before the service. Its not an option any longer in bimmercode.

Was just the telematics module along with a full software update.

Wooo that's some awesome news! How long was the process? 5 blink tap to pass, are you referring to the signaling light?

If you have bimmercode, you can check with under the vehicle info tab. Once you plug in the adapter and connect, tap on the little car icon in the bottom left corner. That should show the I-level version on the car.

I have a 2015, so a regular iDrive NBT can't be upgraded to newer iDrive versions that support CarPlay because they only have 2 GB RAM.

I assume you had plenty custom coding before taking it in. If so, did all the custom coding get reset?

I have a 6WB cluster I added, and there was custom coding I had to pay for to get it to work.
I'm concerned the cluster won't even work after they perform the service, and that I will need to have it coded again.

6WB is VO coded, so that will stay. FDL coding will get wiped.

Oh that's great news. All my FDL coding was through BimmerCode. So I guess I just have to restore the last backup from BimmerCode and I'm done. And will lose the 5 blink option. Not too bad.

What blinker options remain? Can I do 4?
