Talking BMW F3x LCI cupholder retrofit

3 hours of labour including all reading on internet all instructions

Parcelforce finally delivered it this morning and just finished installing it .

It’s a small mod but makes a hell of difference in interior and looks so much better now

Total cost of parts £60

Looks good.

Would you care to share a 'how to guide' for those that would like to follow?

very nice, they did the same thing for LCI2 on F20/21, but can't be bothered doing the actual change

It definitely wasn't an option, as I bought new. I guess they transitioned some of the LCI F30 components into the F36. Mine is August 2016 build, so post summer shut down, 66 plate.

A good mod you have done as I didn't like the old version when I had loan f30s in the past.

Agree, the old style one was a bad design! Removable cover is never a good thing

I found these 2 variations interesting, especially with wireless charging.

But I HATE Alacantra.

would it be any easier if you had the a full lci centre console with cupholder and sliding armrest?
would it be straight swap with no need for cutting or any additional parts??

TIA
