Higher Mileage F30s
Hi all,
Just curious to hear from higher mileage F30 owners in terms of reliability and any type of major engine services to be aware of as the miles rack up. I am currently at 73,5 on a 2015 which is far above the average.. I am a 90ish mile commuter each day round trip and the previous owner must have been somewhere around that too. I bought it with 68,X in July. Thus far I have just done an oil change when I first got it to know what schedule it was on and besides that it has been great.

I am pretty new here, just bought a F30 with 50K on it, but I did some research and a lot of people like to get their intake valves walnut shell blasted somewhere between 50K-75K. This cost about $350 depending on your location. I know here in SoCal you can find it as cheap as $250. Also oil changes every 5K are important, if you drive it hard or track your car I would even recommend every 3K based on the research I've performed.

17' 340i Xdrive (fully loaded) recently hit 10k miles....It's had it's fair share of issues (I was really close to getting rid of it but I decided to keep it). Overall for the past few months is been pretty much issue free and we've been taking it on more road trips and it's been fine (minus the one accident that has my passenger LED low beam trying to re adjust itself onto the ground). Most of my issues were electrical issues. Good Luck!
