Since I've started driving it how I want to, rather than how I would need to, to get 40mpg I've enjoyed it a lot more too. I really can't wait to get the ACS springs fitted... should be arriving in the next couple of days. If it makes to same difference to me as it did for GTSussex, then I'm going to forget about the M3, use the 335d as my daily driver, and the wife will get a 120d instead (she prefers the 1 series size, but happy to use the 335d so that I can have a sports car as well). And if it's going to be my daily driver then may just think again about power upgrades and others mods too!

Finally, over the last few days a chance to see what is can do with mainly motorway miles at family friendly speeds ( y'know the sort, avoiding the wife going 'ahem') that's about as good as it going to get for me. Filled up at 510 miles before the fuel light came on with my road trip app saying 48mpg

But now stop messing about and get back to "proper" driving.

Hmm... Need to start worrying a bit less about mpg and perhaps enjoy the car a bit more. Did an eco run yesterday. At least 56mph so not holding trucks up and never close enough to be slipstreaming. And yes, any warmer and I would have wanted the a/c on. 100 miles, average speed 49mph, trip comp average 70.4mpg. The journey was dull.

Why exactly did you get a 335d and not a 320ed? Surely the economy dynamics would have suited you far better than a 3.0l 6 cylinder car. |

Fair question, but I don't often drive like that, but was curious to see what it would do. I do use the performance quite often but just not yesterday.
Oh, and a 6 cylinder sounds nicer. I think 85 mpg might be possible with an ed.... |
