You would think this would be a common combo but took forever to find one. 2016 White m-sport with coral red. I know the red gets mixed emotions but I really like it. Plans are coilovers, wheels, spoiler yada yada. Soooo much quicker than the 08 328. Oh yeah, already bought some bass)) thought I'd do the outside stuff around March when the weather turns nicer.

Nice find! Yes; I can relate. It is hard to find certain combos on the used market.

I ended up buying my 328i x-drive new, in 2016. Back then I found it impossible to find the combo I wanted on the used market. At least anywhere within 100 miles of me.
  • Most colors on the used market are black, white, or gray exteriors. Black and white look good, but I don't want to own them. Gray would be acceptable, but I can't say it "does it" for me.
  • Most interior colors on the used market are BLACK -- and I wanted anything BUT a black interior.
  • Had to have x-drive
  • HAD to have the sport seats -- absolutely
  • Preferably wanted blind spot monitoring (nearly impossible to find with all the other combos)
  • Had to have a backup camera. You would be surprised how many pre-2016 cars don't even have back-up cameras.
  • Had to have heated seats.

The above combo was shockingly impossible for me to find, over a 2-3 month period. Even one of the local BMW dealerships didn't seem too interested in helping, which amazed me. After months of searching, I ended up buying new and giving up blind-spot-monitoring as a compromise.

I found one used car that came close to what I wanted, but it was an east coast off-lease car that was showing signs of rust (nothing severe, but I don't want to own a car with potential rust issues). One used-car dealership owner told me that the east-coast market is 3 times larger than the west-coast market -- and they ship a lot of off-lease cars to the west-coast for liquidation on the used car market.

Anyway, I eventually got so frustrated I just bought something new. Good for you, for hanging in there! Congrats!

Personally think white cars are too 'in' right now.. Everyone has the same shit. I like to be different but that's my opinion.

The red leathers on the other hand ... Wanna sell?

I've been searching everywhere for replacements but apparently all there is available is red PU leather seat covers haha

Yeah I'm in Indiana and found this one in Arizona. Bought it unseen and had it shipped. I gave up a few things I wanted like hud and m sport brakes but at some point you have to pull the trigger. Oh and yeah the bmw dealers didn't help much. One even asked why I needed that combo. Because! That's why. Lol

Glad to see that you found a vehicle that matched almost all requirements. 403M wheels look great.

White with red leather is a vivid combination. My previous vehicle was almost like yours.

What coilovers are on your short list?

Good question! I haven't decided on adjustable dampening or not. Kinda have my eye on those ST X model. If I go adjustable I have no idea. I have the sonic tuning coil overs on the old car and they seemed fine. They came a little stiff and the dampening adjustment was much needed and worked like a charm. Kinda nervous to get non adjustable but I'm sure the ST's would ride fine. I don't track but want to set my own height. What's your thoughts?

Is your vehicle xDrive or RWD?

KW Street Comfort coilovers are a good choice to begin creating a short list. For daily driving these coilovers are not only almost perfect but also priced reasonably. OEM height can be maintained with KW Street Comfort coilovers.

For maximum flexibility, coilovers with individually adjustable compression and rebound controls are another category to explore. More expensive of course.

Ohlins Road and Track coilovers offer the most optimum performance in a static configuration.

The 403M wheels are really sweet looking on that car! The red interior on the white is very nice! If those wheels were ordered on original car, this one has the high speed limiter for a 155MPH top speed.

Coming from an E90 328 similar to yours, the change is night and day. Though the 328 can be considered "luxury", this is a whole different level! Enjoy, look forward to the build progress!
