Does anyone know what size bulb is used in the reverse lamp?

For reasons known only to BMW it varies from model to model and year to year. I've found charts to be wrong, so to be safe pull one and see what it is.

Mine's an 1156/P21W, but yours may not be. My manual says mine's a PW16W, so you can't trust the manual either.

If you use an LED you have to code. If you don't the lamp will flash every thirty seconds or so.

I opted for LED bulbs so i'm guessing i have to code. Can I code it through bimmerlink?

I don't have Bimmerlink, so I can't say about that. I used Bimmercode.

It couldn't be more simple. Rear Electronic Module>LED Conversion>LED Conversion Reversing Light>Active.
