Park Distance Control
I just picked up my 2015 435i and I can't figure out how to turn on my PDC when entering a parking space to avoid hitting the bottom of the front bumper. On my last car, (2012 E93) there was a button on the center stack to turn the system on. The only way I have found to engage the system on the new car is by putting it in reverse??

Is there a way to have it on all the time? Wife's car kicks in everytime something comes close. I know its only a press of a button but...

The X3 with front PDC will activate automatically if you approach an object at low speed. X5 has the same. Im wondering if the F30LCI may also get this 2014 X3 manual

Sorry guys, but no such button on my car......maybe only comes with top camera option?? I ordered the driver assist option which got me the PDC sensors plus the rear backup camera....but it only comes on when I hit reverse, which I can do by stopping as I enter the parking spot, put it in reverse to activate the system, then back into drive to complete parking the car....kind of goofy way to do it, but it works.......

Wish I could help more but the last time I was in a 2015 4 Series, I didn't really look for the button. |

Thats the correct one.
Im wondering if the OP's car had its part replaced for some reason like shipping damage and they fitted the wrong one.

I have a '15 F32 with Driver's Assistance Package (rear camera + PDC) and my center stack button layout looks like #2 above. #3 is if you have Driver's Assistance Plus Package OR Side + Top View cameras as a stand-alone option.

I know when I was shopping for a F30 back in 2013, the 328 had only 3 configurations...
No PDC Rear PDC Rear PDC + Rearview Camera And of course all three do not have a PDC button, as it's only present with Front PDC. I'm more staggered with why the Canadian 2013 MY 328i didn't have the option for Front + Rear PDC... A real screwup by BMW Canada. With regards to Auto PDC, I think it's applicable with the LCI models but we'll see when they come. |

Some mistake must've happened either during the production of your car or damage repair at VPC. You need to take it back to the dealer to replace the trim and add the button/module.

Then that's definitely a mistake on BMW's part and you should take your car in right away to get it sorted out. If your car has code ZDA then your console should look like #2.
