There's a company called DME Tuning that does tuning for high-end brands, including BMW, McLaren, etc. He might be specifically asking about "DME Tuning's" specific maps.

Ahhh... I see, yeh, I wouldn't pay what DME is asking since the others are literally 1/2 the price.

Having gone down the route of getting a custom stage 2 93 tune from DME, I'd have to say that the OTS stage 2 93 tune comes in quite close in non dyno comparison. I was having issues with mine at the time from DME since it was targeting too high of a boost for the tiny turbo. Halim at PTF for their stage 2 93 hasn't had any issues in the logs that I've done.

Ultimately, I decided to go between the stage 2 93 and e30 stage 2+. I'm an EWG 35i for reference. Having been my second custom tune, the turn around time for changes weren't the worst but the feedback in trying to iron out the tune was what turned me off a bit. Had similar issues with Enzo racing on my first tune when he upped and disappeared one day.

I use MHD and have a tuner from the UK that custom tunes mine. So far so good! It's nice to have someone that will actually look at the logs and determine what needs to happen. You'll get the most bang for your buck with a tuner than going with an OTS flash.

I tune my own car making my own tunes, but if you are not strongly familiar with how engines and ECU tuning work I highly don't recommend it.

BM3 and MHD are the most popular tuners, I am on MHD platform but most people use BM3.

Yes I am talking about the company "DME Tuning".... I get my mods/work done at AutoCoture in fairlawn NJ and I have nothing but good things to say about them! These guys know what they are doing. They do in house tuning with DME Tuning specifically. Im just looking for personal reviews from anybody who has used this company specifically and their experience with them. I have no problem spending the extra 700 dollars if it is gonna be safe and reliable. I get it you have to pay to play!

Does DME actually dyno tune the map to your vehicle? If so, then ok, more money could be justified. If it's one of their OTS maps, then you aren't paying to play, it's just wasted beer money.

The reality is even with BM3, or MHD, a "custom" tune isn't fully car specific. You would need to put it on a dyno so they could run the engine through the entire 2D map to dial it in. The "custom" tunes are most often focused at WOT mapping. That is a lot of hours on the dyno, which costs money.

Sorry, never heard of them until you posted.

I may be wrong but Mo (the guy at DME that does the maps) mentioned when I went out there he didn't have a dyno so we went down the revision route. I could be misinformed but as Wires mentioned that would be the best way to truly dial in the map you would get more for your car.
