12.1@115mph '16 340i RWD

Here's a clip from my 340i doing its PB run of 12.1@115mph w/ 60ft at 1.838. Just want to see how everyone is doing with similar upgrades. Cars doing much better from last time in which we did 12.4@113mph w/60ft at 1.944.

Upgrades: dropin filter, charge pipe, catless downpipe, exhaust, meth kit, bc racing coilovers, jb4 and a MHD custom map. My car is not m-pkg so no paddles, no lsd, no launch control (tried enabling it w/bimmercode but no luck).

Time slip is at the end of the video.

Great 60 foot! I’ve seen Draggy’s with much faster times and top speed, mod to mod, BUT I have yet to see a real B58 track run with a moderate FBO setup, such as yours, break into the 11s. Decent times if you ask me...car is bookin!

I have similar times, but not similar mods.

The difference: Density Altitude

What’s the DA for your runs?

Don't know exactly... its in Salinas, Puerto Rico so its near sea level, hot and humid... don't know if that helps in any way.

Get an app called Density Altitude + and use that to understand DA. It helps greatly.

With the meth, I'd expect 120 mph traps, but it could be due to high DA. Great 60' though for RWD. What tires are you running?

It's always awesome to see b58 powered cars actual run times or dragy slips. I just got some dragy performance metrics for my car last night. 2019 m240i xdrive with ZF8 and BM3 (Stg 1 e30 OTS 2.0) and xHP stage 2 transmission flash. Everything else is stock.

My best 1/4 was 12.12 @ 114mph with a 1.91 60f, 1/8 = 7.82 @ 91.49mph and 0-60 was 3.98 at .35% slope. DA was about 1559. Didnt have the balls to do another 1/4 mile, but did another 0-60 and hit 3.86 seconds. DA was about 1440 for that run.

I think with a better 60ft and launching from 2nd gear should net me a very low 12-second run and probably another 1mph.
