I got mine installed today after 2 years of ownership, drove about 100 miles.
Just WOW, the videos are nothing like what is in real life. Compared to stock, the sound is 10 times better (and about the same for loudness) cannot see why someone would want to go any louder, not for a daily driver. I really cannot believe the B58 can sound so amazing. Worth every single penny it costs |

Hello and welcome.
ps the General F30 sedan/ F32 coupe/ F36 gran coupe Forum is a better spot to post an introduction but no worries. You should head over there and post some pics, give us some spec's and let us know any upgrades you're planning.

I don't polish at all and mine looks great too.
Never hassled by the cops with mppsk. It's a bit obnoxious at times but they seem to leave me alone.

440i GC MPPSK
Hi all, have read various bits of this thread and agree/disagree equally.
So here's my take. I have owned Persephone (a 'pretty' loaded GC (RRP £60k for previous owner)) for 18 months with the DTUK tuning kit on it, tested on a rolling road to around 380BHP! It really is that good. The MPPSK was the one modification I really wanted and finally succumbed a month ago. I ran it for 3 weeks prior and post without the DTUK chip. With the MPPSK, without a doubt, the car pulls better, faster, sweeter, significantly so. With the chip back on, it's blistering, power delivery not as smooth if I'm honest, but my goodness, it pushes one back in the chair, and the front visibly goes up! It must be pushing well over 400bhp and probably over 420. The sound is incredible, I smile every journey, even when stuck on the M42/M5. The burbles and pops are wonderful and when I finally master the extreme acceleration bangs, I will be a happy middle aged yob!. Like others, I wish (or my wife wishes) that it had a quieter start-up at 5.30AM . There is occasional evidence of droning at certain speeds (eco/comfort) but only just noticeable. For sure this is an expensive upgrade, but it's made a wonderful car even better. I can drive it around and not be noticed, or with the flick of a button, people within a mile radius will take for cover from the thunder. Does anyone want to buy a standard 440i exhaust :-) Last edited by T88BOB; 09-20-2018 at 05:28 AM.. |

Looks like the color changed from heat or something. My MPE passenger side tip sorta went discolored so i swapped it to the driver side to let the other tip turn a little discolored assuming the passenger tail pipe gets hotter then the left.

Since you're from Pasadena you might. If you head towards Glendale then for sure they will harass you if you're popping and banging every where even though its OEM they still will write you a ticket and you will need to go to BMW and have them inspect it as a oem unit and go to court and pretty much waste your time so you're better off in comfort mode in certain cities. I have the 5" catted dp + MPE and the MPE does not have a valve and i haven't gotten harassed yet....might be because of my right foot i normally go WOT on the highway and not the streets.

Fitted on Monday and also got Non RFT Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. OMFG.
The combination of these is like a brand new car, what an lot of value for very little outlay. The grip from the tyres even in the wet is night and day over the Potenza RFTs it came fitted with and at lower speeds, the extra torque and power really gives it some shove, really instant acceleration and very smooth power delivery. And the sound, well, it's very entertaining, the number of different kinds of whines, pops, burbles and screams is hilarious. Def no gun shots now, but personally, i'm quite happy with that, it's already obnoxious enough for my sensibilities. In comfort however, it's really quiet, I'd even say quieter than standard at cruising speed, but louder once the values open up over 4k. Which is perfect if you don't want to cause a scene. It is however obnoxiously loud when you start up in any mode, esp, sports, but even at comfort I suspect I'm p*ssing my neighbours off in the morning. Whooops. Extremely happy and can totally recommend it. Last edited by Nick340; 06-02-2019 at 10:00 AM.. Reason: Trying to get link to work... |

I've had the MPPSK for over a year now - totally love it
The Comfort mode exhaust is definitely louder than non-MPPSK, and I think it's louder than when I first had the MPPSK installed. When in the back seat, the exhaust noise in Comfort is surprising - my sister-in-law said I needed a new muffler LOL. I don't find the typical highway drone that annoying - actually it's kind of hypnotic on long road trips. |

Hi everyone,
Im picking up my new 340i next week and have been looking at getting an MPPSK upgrade. Ive found a BMW dealer on ebay any they quoted £1,750 fitted but said it will only fit cars up to July 2018 registered. Has anyone else had any similar issue or could explain to me why or if this will not be the case? Thanks Adrian |

Members on your side of the pond can probably answer your question better than I can but it is probably due to either the new noise laws in Europe we are hearing about or the particulate filter European emission regulation’s are mandating? Perhaps both. Suck’s for sure, I love my MPPSK.
