For what it's worth, when you start calling around don't pay more than like an hour, maybe an hour and a half of labor for this. The overall install takes about an hour by yourself if you put the front of the car on ramps and can undo the exhaust brace in the back to get the mid-pipe out of the way.

What Ahanix said. It was about a 2 hour job for me, no experience, jacking the car up in a garage. If I had it on a lift, and had a second set of hands, hour easy (or less).

I just got my midpipe installed at 3C Custom Exhaust, off Venice/ La Cienega and super happy with it. I talked with the owner, Luis, about potentially doing an install for a down pipe and his prices are very fair. https://m.yelp.com/biz/3c-performanc...-los-angeles-2

Same, had a lift and a second pair of hands took about an hour. I recommend anybody with some basic tools to do the work themselves. I'd be out thousands if I paid ships.

What kind of mid pipe did you get? And how much did you pay if you don’t mind me asking.

2 hours is what my workshop estimated/offered (based on the price).
Naturally it is a conservative estimation, so I also expect that it will take less than an hour.

How difficult is it however to do yourself with just a jack (or 2, to lift the entire front)? I've seen videos, but it looks like there are quite a few tricky points.

Yeah it's fairly easy just make sure whoever do it re-install the old gasket from the old downpipe to the new downpipe.

My understanding is that some downpipes require one, in which case a new gasket is highly recommendable, others don't...
Might be wrong.

With my ER downpipe I just swapped the gasket, but better get a new one if available.

I got the AWE midpipe to complete my setup. Originally got the axle back. Now I can't remember my install cost exactly, but I want to say around $120- $150.
