This is definitely clutch slip. Take it easy until you can upgrade.

Does running stage 1 91 tune gives you a clutch slip?

It did for me, not all the time though, only when it's colder (and potentially making more power?)

On the other hand, I have not had any on Stage 1 E30. I've done logging and 2nd gear pulls in the 40F-50F range. 11k miles, RWD, no spin, no fuel cut, no drama.

I have ACN91 gas.

Is it okay for me to use the Stage 1 93 Octane map if I use an octane booster like Boostane Professional?

Try it, run logs, and report back.

I have couple questions about the BM3 after installing it. I have it on Stage 1 91 octane. Stock downpipe and exhaust.

Due to the high torque, sometimes my front tires lose traction, Is it because of tires or just the xDrive couldn't handle the extra torque ? will doing it often cause any damage to the AWD System? Tires are continental DWS06 with around 5.5" remaining all round

Next question, eco pro now produces a lot of burbles. not louder, but just more. I have the settings at OEM. I heard that burbles actually destroys the CAT and is it going to be okay?

Thank you!!

I looked through the faq and about 10 pages of this thread, but couldn’t find the answer.
I presume I can go Save As as well to save my current stock tune? I have the MPPSK that I don’t want to lose.

Would it be possible to leave the DINAN Elite tune on in bypass mode just to compare before I pull it off? Would love to dyno and compare them both.

Could be a combination of things, but upgrading your suspension can help fix that. What scenario do you lose traction? Like from a launch or when turning? It's not typical to have that issue to be honest.

Burbles shouldn't damage your cat as long as you don't run custom settings with them turned up too high. OEM is fine.

Yes it saves your stock tune. I actually had a recall DME update done at the dealer, and PTF wiped my account so I could save my new stock tune program before flashing back to stage 1.

Yes it can be run but not really recommended. I'm not sure about Dinan but some people have had unexpected results with piggybacks. Isn't the Dinan just 2 plugs? Probably easier to plug it in for the dyno run, then unplug it again to switch back to BM3.

Whats up guys,

Can an N55 license be transferred to a B58 vehicle? Or for transferring purposes the licenses are specific to the motor for which they were originally purchased for?

Yes. If you're transferring to a car where the license is the same price then it's a straight swap. If it's going to a car that's more expensive, you just pay the difference.

I've been running stage 2 for about 6 months now, with my biggest concerns around winter. Couple points that concerned me:
1) What happens to traction control with the added power?
2) Will really nasty (aka icy days) end in sadness from the extra bottom end power?

Over the past month an a bit, I've had the "joy" of driving 15MPH on the freeway (which was still too fast for road conditions due to the ice), as well as multiple other snowy / brutal days. Traction control was flawless (I can get AWD to spin tires on snow though), but the linearity of throttle in comfort is OUTSTANDING. The extra power at the bottom end gets rid of that dead spot where you start hitting the throttle harder, and then it takes off.

Now it's perfectly controllable, and felt 100% stable in even the crappiest conditions. Pre-BM3, I used to park it for our Audi SUV since it felt more controlled on those types of roads. HUGE THUMBS UP for this tune with latest mapping.

It s harder on tires tough.

Hi I'm currently running a tune from a local tuner in my home country of Belgium. A few questions for you:

Can I use your application to delete that tune and add BM3?
For burbles: will my stock exhaust be sufficient for burble sounds?

Yeah you should be able to just flash over that other tune. Stock exhaust will still have burbles but its somewhat muted in comparison to having a downpipe on the car.

I've gotten this twice in the past month. Looks like it's time for a clutch upgrade. This is with Stg 2 91 octane. I'm looking at Spec clutches. Anyone have experience with a single mass flywheel?

Do I really need to buy the OTS Map bundle if I plan on remaining on Stage 1 stock BM3 for awhile?

Nah. It comes with 1 free map. If I could do it all over again, I would've just went with Stage 2 91 as my only tune lol.

Yes I had this exact problem. Same error message. I'm stage 2 93 octane. I contacted bootmod and sent them some logs and they made a custom tune that has pretty much eliminated the problem

BMS intake, CG DS-1 5" high-flow catted DP, AWE catback. That's it lol. Just basic FBO.
