60mph Limit Proposed for a stretch of the M1
"The government is proposing to set up a 60mph speed limit for a 32-mile stretch of the M1, in a bid to cut pollution."
Thats a long way to be doing 60mph, that'll make progress even slower..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-25619914

Just watch as other areas follow and decide to implement speed restrictions to "improve air quality". No doubt, they will all have the "benefit" of SPECS safety cameras to ensure we comply.

How about lifting those crappy variable speed limits that are cropping up everywhere now. VSL has zero effect on congestion (makes traffic block up IMO) and causing cars to constantly increase and decrease speed is terrible for emissions.

Just fantastic - I use that stretch so any trip Southbound is impacted (including my many trips to Silverstone, Donington Park, Rockingham etc).
Thanks a bunch!! |
