Strange braking after sat for 10 days

So left my f31 330 over the holidays on the drive, not moved for 10 days, handbreak on. Weird enough at driving through town today the brakes have a jitter translated into a vibration on brake pedal.Driving is fine, nothing to worry about. Only when braking it's like the discs are squint and when it comes to a certain spot it catches it. It does make a little squeeky noise over that spot when braking but most annoying is the feel in the pedal. I thought it will go away after a bit but it's still there after maybe 20 miles through town.

very. I've left mine for weeks sometimes and no issues. I'd do some heavy braking, accelerate, brake, etc for 10 minutes. If that doesn't fix it then go to the dealers.

It sounds as if the brake discs have rusted where exposed, but not where the pads have been clamped on (or where they have covered the discs on the front wheels). As expected if left for 10 days.
As the first reply has said, you need some 'vigorous' braking to rub through the rusted areas (especially on the back wheels), and normal town driving barely uses the rear brakes anyway.

+1 on giving the brakes a serious use, up to the fastest speed your local roads will allow and brake for as long as is safe to do so and as hard as is comfortable

^+1 Fucking stand on them!!

One thing BMW do well across the board is brakes. 114i-760li, if you wanna stop quick you'll beat damn near anything to 0! The ABS also steps in later than Mercedes' system in my experience (and is a common point of praise for BMW from journalists). As it should do though, BMW is a more driver focused brand so it makes sense that all the systems give you a little bit more before they repeal the laws of physics!

Slightly off topic but hey ho.

Let us know how it goes!

just to confirm your thoughts, vigorous braking did cure the problem and we are now back to normal!

Happens all the time up here, it's called weather. Doesn't take ten days either, they can 'growl' after a night's wet.

Brake corrosion is my worst issue with BMW, not using the car every day.
