Hi All

i retrofitted top view and rear view cameras about a year ago now which has been working with no issue other then the TRSVC module i fitted also had the side view cameras input. I have never fitted the side view cameras and i dont intend to but when i use ISTA it flags up the errors of the missing cameras.

I brought a TRSVC module that only had top view and rear view inputs only. i have tried to install this today and i thought it would be a straight swap but i cannot get it to work. It wont let me flash or code anything, when i try to flash i get SWEs missing from PSDZDATA

Any help would be amazing :-)

Looks like the svt is incorrect. Is TRSCV in the svt?

I following the process of flashing the ECUs and saving the SVTs, the HWEL is blue and red untill i click the HW-IDs from SVTactual as advised by ShawnSheridan and then they turn black. i then get the attached errors when calulating the TAL.

Could it be where i have swapped TRSVC with a unit already installed its picking up the old unit instead of the new?

Im new to flashing but with the old TRSVC i just installed it and changed the CAFD and coded and it worked

How do you know if the unit is defective as it is second hand?

The HW-IDs from SVTactual is not something to be used unless necessary.
Blue and red HWEL means the unit is not compatible, so avoid flashing those modules.

There is something wrong with fa or trsvc ecu is not compatibel and you need ICAM.Give us your FA,SVT_IST and Ilevel factory

So does that mean the unit is not compatible with my vehicle? its from a X5 but i have a F33 i took the TRSVC out that was working becasue im not using the side cameras do i need a TRSVC from a F series for this to work?

If you have trsvc with souroundview then you need 3AG and 5DL in FA and calculate tal. If your FEM is not compatibel you will need to replace them also. Like Nine said don`t push HW-ID from svt actual correct FA

Add the correct salapa to the fa and calculate the svt target. Using the svt target you will see modules necessary for the retrofit.

This is done already ive had the cameras working for over a year with the TRSVC that has side view camera input ive took this TRSVC out and changed it for a TRSVC with only top view and rear view.

I thought it would be a straight swap but the second hand unit i got wont let me inject a new CAFD which i thought it would being a straight swap?

Is it looking like my new TRSVC is faulty?

Maybe the |top view and rear view TRSVC is not compatible with my car because i have just looked up the part numbers and there is no part for the F33 using this top view and rear it only lists modules for the rear only and surround view

Give me your fa and svt_ist and I willtry to help you. To inject cafd you will need to use some other vheicle type like F01 which came with top view TRSVC.

Topview trsvc ecu was brocken no responding . Souround view ecu was good I think he will buy other ecu

Hi all,
I have a 2017 F34 GT that I have been trying to retrofit surround view on and it's killing me haha. I will admit I knew nothing about retrofit/coding 6 months ago. I'm a veterinarian so I can troubleshoot dogs/cats but avoided my dad every time he tried to teach me car stuff (young adult regrets haha). So I've just been absorbing all that I can from these forums/YouTube videos. With that said I feel like it's probably something simple that I am not realizing but I'm clueless that to do at this point.

My car came with back camera and front/back pDC. I purchased a used trsvc module, cameras, wires etc and did the manual portion. The only modification I did differently from the standard install guides was that the hsd cable runs from top-view mirror camera straight to the module (so it doesn't connect to another cable as it enters the door).

I did the FA/flash on esys and it wouldn't work. ISTA told me the wires were wet and I needed to replace all the wires and cameras. It had rained heavily and I didn't realize how often people face this so I just chucked it to my naiveness. I purchased new cameras and cords. Still wouldn't work. Ista told me to replace the module so I did. I don't think I fully understand the "date it was made" factor so I just made sure to get a used trsvc ECU from a bmw of matching year.

Still can't get it to work. On reverse, the back camera works while the sideview just shows black screen. Ista now gives me "ECU_conditions_not_met". At this point the more I read, the more confused I get and don't want to just blindly keep replacing stuff (ex. replace JBE, replace Fem) Not sure if by chance anyone could walk me off the ledge here or could suggest what to do. I'm aware "taking it to the shop" is an obvious solution but I feel challenged haha; btw I'm in NYC if anyone wants to recommend a good retro spot.
