SOS
Car had now been in the garage for a week. they have tried 2 TCBv2s and neither have solved the problem. Apparently BMW think the car has been "reprogrammed" in the past and this is causing the issue.
Does this mean they have picked up my coding for Office features which I did about 3 moths ago? In the meantime I continue to enjoy the loan 118d SE. I reallywant my 330d back. |

By office coding I guess you mean enhanced Bluetooth?
I think Tengocity had similar recently where the BMW software update wouldn't take as a potential result of a VO change through coding. They got it working in the end though. Since they've already reprogrammed/updated and your coding wasn't lost, it suggests their process didn't work!

Bought an used 440i from BMW this week, the car had the SOS call system failure warning when I viewed it, but they told me car would be sent to the workshop to replace the emergency battery and they assured me it would be sorted. When I picked the car yesterday the warning was gone but I got it again today. Hopefully this is covered by the warranty....but it is a bit frustrating. I wonder if someone knows how to check the emergency speak under the steering wheel, I could not find it. I read that if the connector is fussed/disconnected, it can flag the fault. It should be covered by warranty or goodwill as it was noticed before sale and you was told it would be fixed. |

Wow - this is a blast from the past! Yes it was all sorted under warranty eventually - The Telematrix box under the sharkfin was replaced under warranty - the box and car were then programmed correctly and everything ran perfectly therre after! :-)

Is the telebox under the shark fin about the same as the Combox that used to be in the trunk (boot) of older cars?

SOS fault flagged again this morning... car is back to the workshop. I have all the emails by written from the dealership confirming me all was sorted before I picked the car. Hopefully they can fix it this time (apart from that, I am very happy with the car. I just want to get it fixed and forget this), but if not, I will put a claim.
