I wouldn't do what OP wants to do, sure, but I'm totally for him doing it. Add neons, do a wild paint scheme, do some crazy wheels, make it a lowrider, drift car, whatever, just enjoy your car and have fun wrenching.

I mean, I could shit on people for having carbon fiber lip spoilers... because you're not driving a race car, and it's not real carbon fiber, and even if it were real carbon fiber, you don't need the weight savings.

There can be so much gatekeeping here, which makes things boring as hell. It's the same old stuff every time.
  • I blacked out my grille
  • I blacked out my badges
  • I installed a carbon fiber lip spoiler
  • I got the M-style mirror caps
  • I got sequential side mirror indicators
  • I got body-colored bumper reflectors
  • I got the same front lip as everyone
  • I got the same rear diffuser as everyone
  • I watch the Kies Motorsports YT channel and do whatever they do

Not hating on anyone that does any of those things, but what's the point of customization, customization, if we're all just going to do it the same? Do what you like, and realize that what you like isn't necessarily what others like. I thought this was a community of enthusiasts, not nannies.

Links to youtube videos for everything?

How do I put vinyl wrap over my headlights? Should I do my windshield, too?

Garage List
OP, while you’re installing your lights make sure you get the three colored strips to add to your grill and a bunch if M badges too.

You can use the battery terminals under the hood.

Not the battery terminals. Use the under hood fuse box. Using the terminals is a sure way to start a fire or toast your battery if you don't know what you're doing, and since the OPs question would indicate he's unaware that there is an under hood fuse box that's a good possibility.

hhahahahaha I love the comments guys!!! To the ones that are supporting thanks guys! To those that are hating I'll be posting a youtube video to show the finished product I ended up just letting my buddy do it himself since he has an underglow business. It looks amazing especially because the car is white. I could think of tons of worse mods that people do to their cars and underglow isn't that big of a deal. I don't think it makes the car look cheap either lol. There are some stupid ass mods out there that I, and plenty of others would say "what the f*** is the point of that" like me and my opinion on bags or just being super low but to each their own. There's always gonna be haters with anything you do to your car so just do what you want lol not here to please anyone 😂😅

I'll try to have the vid edited and posted soon because pictures don't do it justice. I'll update with pics tonight at least

Stop being a bunch of elitists derps, the dude can do whatever he wants.

A lot of BMW elitists think what I've done to my cars is blasphemy and I couldn't care less.

Go get em Rashad - most dudes around here list their red start button as a modification... lol

+1 don't forget the V-Bar wrapped in red, blue or yellow!

I'm with you OP, do whatever you like because you paid for the car. God forbid anyone goes off the regular mods that we ALL do.

I've seen that on an older 530, so much class!

It really smells like champagne, but when you taste it, it's poop.

Good luck OP.

edit: also nobody asked how I can wrap my full front windshield. Any suggestions?

Maybe do a battery powered mod using coin cell batteries like the OE battery powered backlit doorsills.
