I hear you but even then, it sounds like you ran a stock tune or comp tuned m4. Best I ever trapped with e30+ race gas was 120mph.

Have you used the custom dragy slip feature? You can setup 40-100 or whatever. Could be fun to have virtual races among the forum members haha

Ots+ also overboosts the stock turbo on the top end😉

I've never messed.woth it since those roll times never really mattered to me. also much much more difficult to do where I live.

yeah, Cary let's my boost fall off at around 6k and I get a ton of timing. I would still be curious to see the time difference.

I talked to the guy and we were talking about our mods...he said his tune was BM3 Stage 1 93 Octane.

Find that dragy man! and also get some runs in against others with both tunes.

Yeah, no way that fast mph. Something either amiss with his tune or gas used or my car is a freak. Or the race gas tune with E43 is really nuts. Will have to get a dragy or take it to the drag strip.

I have flashed back to stg 2+ E30 with E45 in the tank and it feels just as powerful.

Just wanted to add some data to this thread, if anyone cares... comparing power difference between the stage 2+ e30 tune and the stage 2 E30 tune. My car is an M235i 6MT, full bolt on, with dorch stage 2 fuel pump, stock exhaust, stock turbo, turbosmart diverter valve, MST inlet, and stage 2.5 LPFP (a useless upgrade tbh if not running full 85)... anyways, these are my numbers

Stage 2 E30 ----- 392whp, 442wtq
Stage 2+ E30 ---- 415whp, 466wtq

dyno map shows stage 2 E30 held the power to redline, but there was a massive drop off in power for stage 2+ after 6k rpm, so basically with the stage 2+ tune, shifting should be done at or around 6k rpm...

the Garage was super hot (over 100F) when I did the dyno, and car was running stock bosch plugs at 0.022 gap, a little disappointed with the numbers honestly, would liked to have gotten maybe +10 whp more on both maps, but oh well.

turbo is done on a stage 1 tune at 6-6200, it's just can't flow the air efficiently enough to make boost. it's too small.

yup, looks like 415-425whp is the absolute best the stock turbo can do with the stage 2+ E30 map on the regular N55, M2 maybe a little bit more... next upgrade is pure stage 2 for sure... my goal is 500whp, and I know this map can get me there... I am also having issues hooking up in 3rd gear with like new pilot sport 4s tires, so looks like LSD is in my future too.

Stock turbo M2 with decat on the 2+ map will hit 442+ whp on a Dynojet, but chokes hard above 6k. Redline hp is 375ish if IIRC.

Even with my Dinan turbo (and 300-cell DP) I hit the same peak whp, but drop to 410whp at redline. Altho, the fun part is 507wft-lbs at 2500rpm….

Currently looking at a TTE460 to smooth out up top. Thinking I can hit 475whp peak with a big jump in redline whp (50ish?) while not introducing low end lag. We’ll see.

doesn't the M235i and M2 have the exact same engine and turbo? how is the M2 making 29 more whp than my M235i? was running the stock bosch plugs robbing me of some power? will I make more power with the N20 plugs?

Nahh. There’s some talk that the M2 turbofold flows more, but no one knows for sure….

Hard to say what happened without a log or graph, but I imagine timing being pulled could have caused some issues up top.

Can you post them?

That or its just a different dyno, or dynos had different WCF, etc etc. Can't compare different cars on different dynos on different days unfortunately.

Interesting that the stage 2 holds power better up top. Do you have datalogs for these runs?

Also what correction factors were used for weather, etc? If none what was the DA? So many variables like i said, can't really compare dyno results like that (different cars/days/dynos/etc)
