Now how weird is this:

I kerbed my nearside front alloy today again in the same place, at the same time, on the same parking spot on the same street in North London. It's Damage not too bad.

I'll get my Wheel Insurance activated.

I had a premonition this would happen.

So annoyed.

All part of going to Hendon, North London where the kerbs are too high. I had a feeling it was going to happen. That area needs updating badly.

I have to pay for wife's alloy repair, borrowed car and brutalised one of the alloys - bloody multi story car parks.

Hendon, I am off there or so in summer for annual museum trip.

9 claims for a 36 months policy
6 claims for a 24 months policy
3 claims for a 12 month policy

If you pay a la carte it is £55 + VAT per wheel

I was thinking (does happen sometimes) how wonderfully the car drove in the pouring rain, how smooth and stable it was and how awful it would be if it had an accident. 5 minutes later I kerbed the wheel. Must stop thinking.

That's a good deal, just checked their website and you need to purchase GAP insurance as well now, plus the quote is £175 for alloy cover. Probably (hopefully!) not worth it at that price.

Just curious - would a claim on alloy insurance affect car insurance - they ask if you have made "any claims" and wouldn't want to get stung with their mutual sharing of data...

Spoke too soon. The paint has come off along the edge and the paint is a darker shade. The lacquer has white spots also. He's coming back to fix it tomorrow. What a pain.

It's 10 times worse than the original damage!
