F32 not connecting to e sys

Im using an OBD 2 connected to a usb ethernet adapter and this is happening..... I tried many times "Connection via VIN" remains grayed out, close E-Sys and shut car completely off for 30 minutes, and try connection again beginning with Step
19.

Your cable may be bad or check here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=871594

Rsnic posted the attachment below which may also be of some help.

Righto...then I would check as noted above. When I load E-sys on my computer with no cable connection, I get the response you describe: Connection via VIN is greyed out and "No ZGW available". That suggests a cable problem or a problem with the LAN connection.

first you have to check you laptop, it might be you LAN is disabled or make sure your OBD2 port is not loose. push all the way
then re-enable your e-sys program
