M performance exhaust on 420i?

Does the M performance exhaust from 428i fit on the 420i?

Not according to the compatibility chart. No surprise there, as the 420 and 428 have different exhausts.

im looking for exhaust options.

i want something similar to the m performance exhaust, with burbles/pops/bangs

dont want to spend too much, maximum 1500euro

i was thinking the idea of installing the backbox/muffler of the 440i on my 420i, but i havent found any sound samples.

You can install a x28 or x35 exhaust on your car; m perf or stock but you'll need to have a adapter made from your smaller piping to the larger piping on the x28/35 exhaust. Nothing an exhaust shop can't handle.

what is a x28/35 exhaust? sorry new to these things

i guess you mean 428i,328i and 328i/330i ?

so the m performance exhaust from these models can be fitted in the 420i with the adapter right?

EDIT: Just noticed the 428i exhaust is same as the 420i , what about the 435i/440i exhaust? i want one exhaust tip on each side
dont like the look of the 420i twin tips on one side

Which exhaust did you use? I'm a bit confused since I read that the F36 has a different exhaust from the F30/F32. Was it off from a F30 335i/340i or F32 435i/440i?

This is a custom made exhaust made for around 750 euro by the company called skytune (belgium) nice and fast work. In about 3 hours the new one was on and ready to go

custom, muffler delete and he connected some new pipes with dual sided exhaust tips

he also said that he added a bit of "overrun" to make pops/bangs and burble sound on downshift/upshift

love it, always smiling now when im driving it )
