hey, I've been using your square setup as inspo for what I'm looking to get. LMs are out of my price range and I'm looking at the CH-Rs.
Did you have any rubbing, fitment, or clearance issues (with brakes or strut)? Did you have to do any fender rolling or anything to make these fit? The CH-Rs et35 and my car is an f32. not sure if the additional offset is a dealbreaker or not. Only seeing mixed opinions everywhere. Thanks! |

Did you have any rubbing, fitment, or clearance issues (with brakes or strut)? No issues. They cleared my track pack brakes. 9.5 et35 with a 255.35.19 is the highest offset that would clear the strut. It was only a few mm away from the strut. et32 gives you more inner room but they were a little aggressive on the outside (no rubbing). It would look better with some camber. I am on HR lowering springs with minimal camber, no camber plates. Did you have to do any fender rolling or anything to make these fit? Nope.

Wheels look great... but the stance is better. Would you provide H&R Spring model numbers you used? Also, did you change out the shocks or bump stops? Really love the stance!

Thx - There's only one option from H&R for the F31 (in US at least). I did do shorter OE BMW bump stops. Factory adaptive shocks. I'm very happy with the results

Sorry, one more question, I see the wheel dimensions in your post, what's the tire size used for the square setup? I really want this look. Last edited by 2015F31; 01-17-2019 at 09:56 AM.. |

That being said, matched shocks and spring packages are a good move. That way you know the dampening and spring rates are well matched. Adaptive suspension is helpful because I have the option to stiffen the shocks. However overall it's a wagon, I was not seeking track performance. I have an M3 for that purpose.

No extended lugs needed unless you use spacers. Help me understand why you are asking. Lug length is not impacted by wheel offset.
