The only thing taking my fancy so far is the Hive heating system.
Drawback is, my boiler is older than time itself, as is the programmer so compatibility may be an issue. And I don't want British Gas ripping my kitchen walls apart to fit the damn thing |

It doesn't matter how old your boiler and current programmer are, the only connection the hive has is a 'call for heat', so it's basically just a fancy on and off switch.

Same as any programmer, there's two wires for power and two wires for turning the heating on and two wires for turning the hot water on. Then the actual Hive connects to the mains and your wifi

You can tell I'm not a spark! So there should be an additional (unused) wire for each function at the boiler?

For the people with kids... Smyths have a voucher, £5 off a £50 and £10 off a £100 spend (in store only)
Handy for those xmas pressents! Funny enough the wife is still after a dyson v10.... seemed to be priced like apple.... they all have it at the same price! |
