Always check carparts4less before buying off eurocarparts, they are usually cheaper and it seems to be the same company (the websites almost identical)

Which magazine are going to burst your bubble.....only 13% of Black Friday deals are the cheapest price. 87% are the same or cheaper at other times.

But who cares when a man maths buying addiction kicks in.

The only thing taking my fancy so far is the Hive heating system.

Drawback is, my boiler is older than time itself, as is the programmer so compatibility may be an issue. And I don't want British Gas ripping my kitchen walls apart to fit the damn thing

It doesn't matter how old your boiler and current programmer are, the only connection the hive has is a 'call for heat', so it's basically just a fancy on and off switch.

So how do they connect it up to the boiler?

Same as any programmer, there's two wires for power and two wires for turning the heating on and two wires for turning the hot water on. Then the actual Hive connects to the mains and your wifi

You can tell I'm not a spark! So there should be an additional (unused) wire for each function at the boiler?

Don’t forget to add some message about the house being a bit of a mess, so you thought this would help. That always goes down well...
