I've problem with My BMW f30 320d n47, after long trip i read My obd2 faults
There is stored 3 codes p2426, P2AB9, p242c
I know there is some problem with egr, westgate and oxygen sensor by i dont know what i can do myself to fix it maybe you can help me of One of US hade similar issue ?

I'm trying to get the actual BMW codes instead of crap OBD codes, but I'm not seeing some of those available on 320d.

One of the codes is for disconnected or faulty exhaust gas temperature sensor before the SCR catalyst.



Better yet, try to get the BMW manufacturer codes.

I got only obd2 scanner and some app in My phone and that is the reason why i write so this codes,

Ok, I identified your car, it has the DDE 7.01 ecu (Bosch EDC17C50), which is the same hardware as on pre-LCI 328d. I have checked the euro software flash from your ecu (EU5 and EU6) and the factory diagnostic systems, and those P codes do not exist.

The codes p2426, P2AB9 do not exist in this ecu at all. Did you add a P in front of those yourself?

Got a different tool or app to read it?

0x242600 glow plug Cylinder 2, control: glow plug resistor out of specification
0x2AB900 glow control device, diagnosis feedback: Mixed fitment of different glow plug types detected
0x242C00 glow plug Cylinder 4, control: interruption

Im using BTool expert scanner tommorow i'll check again these codes but i think you have correct discription od this codes, but any way what that means for me?

I just don't think you have the right codes yet, but if they are correct, it just means 1-2 glow plugs and / or the glow plug module is defective. Not expensive to fix.

Ok, yes, they are the same errors.

You can change the glow plug module in picture by yourself.

You may have to change your glow plugs too. But I think you should change the module first.

I changed glow plugs alreadyä it was 3k km before.

Also make sure that the wire on the right side of the module is not damaged. I noticed on 3 separate N47tu that the wire likes to slide under the engine cover tab/mount and rub itself to damage.

I have tried now to disconnect this plug but I cant It looks like stuck, Im puling this white plastic back and then I try to disconnect i'm doing this correctly ?

Hmm, not sure, I would have to play with mine.

Also, the codes suggest that there are mixed types of glow plugs, so make sure what you installed are all matching and the correct type for your car.

Yes, so glow plug module needs to be adapted with software to the engine ecu.

You'll need at least INPA/tool32 or someone with ISTA

I don't think it will be a problem. Because the car only uses glow plugs when it is freezing outside.

Yes it's running well, any difference between old and new controler.

Not sure of differences. The engine ecu still controls when the glow plugs work, etc.

This controller is more like a resistor pack.

If you have a Windows laptop, with wifi and an enet cable (or even k+dcan) I can TeamViewer in sometime and run the adjustment via software. Not very soon though, it is a busy month for me.

if you had errors with EGR, check for repair campaign. You can ask in BMW service or you can post here ur last 7 Vin numbers, ill ask for check if there are any.

3/4 engines N47 and B47 (2010-2017) have repair campaign on EGR cooler
