Controller is included in the following part number:

Navigation Unit holder & controller high: 65902410425 (until 06/2013)

No Need to buy it seperately!

Great!

Did you code via HO_WORD "NAVI" or DFL coding?

If you did it via HO, which parameters have been changed?

Many thanks!
Greetings

A random pic of my recently retrofitted BMW Integrated Navigation Kit on my F31. Really pleased with it. I want to change my 6,5 screen on my HU_ENTRYNAV with the bigger 8,8 screen, but I have no idea how the map will appear on the bigger screen. If anyone has already tried it,it would be useful to upload some pics. Thank you!

About the Step by Step retrofit, I checked the BMW Retrofit manual and it's quite simple once you follow all the steps shown in the pdf.

The only problem that I had was the traslation to english from german !

Looks great!

If somebody will do the coding via HO_Word please be so kind and save a copy of the HU_Entry before and after HO coding. Then compare them with tokenmasters CAFDTool to see which parameters are affected.

Many thanks!

Greetings

I confirmed with Jason at GetBMWparts.com that the BMW Integrated Navigation is now available for North America. It was just released and introduced last week. Gonna have to look into this further now. From a pricing perspective, they have it listed at $750 compared to $895 at ShopBMWUSA.com. Installation is listed by BMW at 1.5 hours so plan on another $250-$300 for installation and coding. Hope this helps.

Wondering if nay one with 2011 car managed to install this, I was told by my dealer that it's from 2012 onward, not sure why.
My car is F10 June 2011.
Anyone with maybe a link on how to check this with VIN number.

Thanks in advance.

Check this link. On the "model availability" it says "5 Series Sedan from 2010, 5 Series Touring from 2010".
Also if you try www.realoem.com by entering your VIN number you can search the "Retroffiting - Conversions - Accessories" section to find if it is available for your car.

Thanks Bill for the link, looks like not an option, yet it also shows that Head Up display retrofit is not available, but my dealer was positive on that, i.e. it is available for my car.

I tried to get this done at the dealership but was told that it would not work due to not having Head Unit SA 663. Not sure what the difference between the one I have now and SA 663. Kind of a disappointment

Hello All,
I have 2013 bmw 520d ed, have basic media player without nav. Was missing Nav in every day driving. After considering options like CIS,NBT eventually decided to go with Integrated navigation retrofit. Ordered and waiting for delivery.
I thought that it will not require as its bmw accessory, until i read this post.
I have never done coding but trying hard to understand by reading them.
Thanks To Shaun for providing me necessary things to start coding.
I am attaching installation manual in English may help someone---
thank you
GSB
