F32/36 - LCI LED rear lights - Importing from Germany (Import Tax)

Guys,

Looking to replace the rear lights on my 2016 (66 Reg) pre LCI F36 GC. I would prefer to buy new as it can be extremely difficult to find ones which aren't damaged.

Currently looking at a Black Line set from a German seller at circa £700 including delivery. As the seller appears to be a business, will i incur import duty?

You won't be charged import duty but you will be charged VAT if picked up.

I think the seller will charge VAT unless you can provide a valid UK VAT number (to prove you're a business). I'm pretty sure that's how it is where I work. I'm no accountant though

Yes sorry, I should have been clearer: make sure the invoice shows VAT has been paid.

Give BMW Kirkcaldy a call for a price.

They give decent discount and free delivery.

I found them cheaper than BMW Cotswold.
