This is actually the one I have. You can get it but don't use the angled piece. Use the straight ones, start with 1 and if that doesn't work then stack them.

Great, I will give this a try.
So, when testing to see if the CEL will come back, how did you go about clearing and waiting for the system to reboot?
Last time, I tried (i had leak at the vclamp and thought that was the issue), i pulled the neg for 30 minutes to clear the light. The light came back after about 250 miles. Thanks again.

Just clear it with an OBD2 reader beforehand if you can.

Fabspeed makes a O2 spacer with a mini cat built into it. My AMG buddy has one and it keeps the CEL away and even sets emissions readiness. For what it's worth any tech can smell / hear a catless car a mile away.

why is it bad if the sensor is too far from the exhaust flow? Isn't it better the farther it is (to reduce how much O2 is being sensed)?

There is a specific sweet spot. The car typically evaluates the o2 voltage response compared to that of the upstream sensor. If you move it too far out of the stream it will fall out of the expected threshold... then you get the 'o2 slow to respond' code.

Throw a catless, or even some high flow catted in the mix, and it will detect a higher downstream voltage against its threshold compared to the upstream, thus throwing the cat efficiency code.

So i finally had a chance to get off the 02 sensor. What a pain. Now my issue, how did any of you put on the straight spacer and then the 02 sensor. It barely fits with just the 02 sensor. I think i have no choice but to try the 90 angle one. Is that one too long ? Any issues with that?

MID 21 TIV 81C:
Catalyst monitor bank 1: not ok
Any ideas?

You were specifically told NOT to use an angled one.

I know this. There is no space to use a straight spacer.
I have a N55 which maybe the reason

So I was hoping someone could clear this up for me. So yesterday when i put the angled spacer, i saw that the cel was still on and the o2 sensor was not ok via the torque app. I assumed that the two errors on the scan mid 21 tid 81 & mid 02 tid 02 was still present that it did not fix the issue. I was so tired that i never tried to clear the ecu. Now with some sleep aand more reading i may have missed a step and not cleared the error. Should i go back and try again and this time clear the ecu. Sorry about the rant. I should have stopped when i felt tired and rested more before tacking this

question, when you installed the angled sensor, what direction did you face it ? down, or up ....

Asking because i want to make sure while you are troubleshooting, that you dont have the angle facing downwards because you will risk damaging the o2 sensor as condensation builds up in the spacer.

Thanks. Definitely up. Drove it for 15 minutes and then pulled it off next morning

Any ideas or suggestions?

Try 42DD O2 spacer, that one has to work... that of course if yours currently doesnt work after clearing the codes.

Lol. Ill try my old one first and then try the one you suggested.
Does anyone know if the torque app clears the light right away or does it take a few drive cycles.

All should clear the light immediately unless you have a bigger problem and the lights come back just after clearing it...

The problem is that he is N55. You cannot trick those motors the same way you can with the B58. Former N55 owner here..

Unfortunately, you got no options besides tuning with flash or JB4.
