BMS intake not good enough for hybrid turbo?

So I already have BMS intake and just got a DAW turbo but everyone is saying I need a bigger intake like the MST. Is this true or would the BMS be sufficient?

They probably mean with a larger turbo you want to add an inlet also not just an intake.

Even the stock intake works fine. The primary benefit with the bigger filters/piping is quicker spool. But don't expect a lot more power.
