New amp - Audiotec Fischer's Match-Up 7BMW
I replaced the amp in my '14 F30. New amp: https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/m...ifiers/up-7bmw
Wow - listened to some well-known music and I'm thrilled with the purchase. |

Does it do anything with the active sound noises?
Debating between this and the bimmertech amp. |

Note that both of those amps are made by Audiotech Fischer. PP 86 (aka bimmertech amp) is 8 channels all same 55 watts (one channel not used) whereas UP 7BMW is a specifically designed 7 channel amp with 5 x 65 watts and 2 x 160 for the underseat "subs".
Btw, UP 7BMW won an EISA award this year: https://www.eisa.eu/awards/match-up-7bmw/ |

No - it won't blow out your stock speakers.
I'm very much into home theater/audio, and I have beefy amps running my speakers. The amps were chosen for their ability to deliver high quality audio (detailed) versus just "loud". This amp did the same thing for me. More details are evident in the music. Even the crappy Sirius tuner music sounds better, but the system now shines with HD-Radio, my Music Collection, and streaming services like Tidal. |

Nine times out of ten when there's enough power applied to damage speakers long before they blow they'll distort so badly that you'd have to be deaf not to notice it...probably because of playing your music too loud.

Here I found the user manual https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/medi...W_25-09-18.pdf
It's written that with their EQ settings the OEM speakers are protected, but one should be careful when tuning the amp. |

Guys
I have already have the bummer tech amp with Eton front components and gladden 201 extreme under seat subs. Do you guys think this new amp is a step change from the bimmertech. Looks like it will give much more powers to the under seat subs. What do you think? |

Just installed the match up 7bmw and am happy with the outcome. Sound is cleaner and doesn’t distort as early. Also the woofers are louder. Used the stock F30 sedan profle.

Is there a convertible tune? I’m thinking of getting the 7.

I swapped the "Touring" to the "Limosouine" tune today. OMG - what a difference.
This was certainly worth the investment. Very highly recommended. chowser51 - Yep - they have a convertible tune on their site: https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/matc...ase/soundIndex |

I installed the Match Up 7BMW amplifier and it's a major improvement over the stock hifi. It brings the the stock speakers to life and it made me smile when I heard the clean sound coming from the system. The underseat woofers now generate solid bass which can only be improved by a subwoofer in the trunk.
The amp tune file that I am using is provided by forum member foveon and it can be found here under post #2. Thank you foveon for your hard work. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1182351 Also, the ASD "noise" is substantially reduced by this amp. My car is noticeably quieter and music now takes priority over hearing the sound of the engine changing gears under hard acceleration. |

UP7 or BimmerTech (both by Audiotech-Fischer): installation is very simple and sound quality is a real step up from the stock amplifier.
You might snap up a used unit and save- I did this recently, paid $500 for the older B-Tech 82DSP amp and installed in X3. 500 bucks was tolerable, don't think I'd felt all that satisfied paying full retail - it's a nicely performing product but near $1K is pretty steep. Used units tend to sell very quickly so you've got to keep a sharp eye on the classifieds. Good luck/Bill |
