Required maintenance 328xi
I'm new to BMW and I was looking through the owners manual to find the maintenance schedule such as when to replace the belt, transmission fluid and ect. But wasn't able to find much. Does any one have a PDF or website?

Generally engine oil is 10,000 miles (16,000km) Brake fluid is every 2 years/30,000 miles (50,000km) Spark plugs are recommended every 6th oil change, or 60,000 miles. (100,000km) Oxygen sensors every 150,000 miles (240,000km) Engine air filter every 3rd oil change or 30,000 miles Cabin air filter (ventilation microfilter) every brake fluid service Transmission fluid is "lifetime" according to BMW, but ZF the transmission manufacturer recommends a fluid change every 50-75k miles (80,000-120,000km) Engine coolant, also stated as "lifetime fill" by BMW, so up to your interpretation on when you want to change. Generally coolants nowadays are good for 10 years/150,000 miles but i'd cut that in half personally. The engine drive belt i don't know much about an interval but i'd say your safe until at least 100k miles (160,000km), or if it starts making a noise then it's time to change. Regarding brake fluid/coolant, there are test systems to check for coolant acidity/brake fluid water content and that way you can change the interval according to your needs. Modern spark plugs are also usually good for at least 100k miles, and oxygen sensors don't really need replacing unless they fail. Those are just my two cents. Don't forget the rear diff fluid at 30k and the transfer case fluid if you have an xDrive.
I do plugs every 20-25k because I'm tuned. 60k as mentioned otherwise. Brake fluid every year or before a track day. It's cheap insurance especially if you have the tools. Brake rotors will have the min replacement thickness measurement stamped on the hub portion. Measure once a year or every other oil change. 3mm thickness on brake pads front and rear. New thickness sensors with each pad change. One front, one rear.

What year is your vehicle? Do you have a record of all prior service and maintenance procedures?
Earlier suggestions are spot on (as my colleagues in the UK would confirm). |

From my manual:
Please consult your Service and Warranty Information Booklet for US models and Warranty and Service Guide Booklet for Canadian models for additional information on service requirements. |
