Please, someone tell me why they had to have the "M" portion of the ///M logo above the tri-color on all the calipers?? It looks soo tacky when 2 of the 4 calipers have the ///M logo seemingly facing the wrong direction. I said this in another thread thinking it was a pre-production thing, but I cannot believe its on the final products...why?

It is funny how as enthusiasts we wantto buy the latest and best, but the adages as to design, care, benefits, etc. remain old technology (not picking on you, we all tend to do this. Change is hard. ![]() The shaving effect with race ready pads and hard use is legitimate, but not with street pads and street driving. This is a downside on the street as it increases wear a bit more than otherwise. No biggie. Chamfering the leading edge of the pads actually helps slow the wear. BTW, he stated "Multiple heavy braking from triple digit speeds over 45 minutes." The pads are bedded in. ![]() |

OMG
This might work for my f10, the gold color is what I want, but somehow it doesn't look quite right. It looks like a toy, like too small, and the covering is too plastic.. it might look like a weiner on the f10. The M5 brakes need a harness, and only fit the front, if this is a direct bolt on.. Like the 'fake' holes and lines.. if this Brembo unit is an improvement over the stock f10 brakes it might be worth a try at this price. |

Per the first post:
"The BMW M Performance sports brake system is only approved in combination with at least 18" aluminum wheels and unfortunately do not fit the E9X generation cars (including M3)."

They look good, should come like this stock!
But I think the previous BMW Performance brake kit was better looking with its 6 piston fronts. |

Whattt, damn that's kind of upsetting color wise for the yellow. That's more of a gold or really dark bronze type yellow. It is pretty ugly if you ask me. I thought they meant like bright lamborghini type yellow, which would look so sick on a black car with black rims. Guess I'll be getting the red or orange when the next gen m3 comes out

Is it wrong that I've already ordered these even though I wont have the car for another 4 months?

Rotors are generally made from a material called "grey iron", (iron). The more expensive latter would be carbon ceramic, as seen as optional for the newer F- series M cars. |

Is it me, or are the front rotors shown in the pics installed in two different directions? On the left side the slots go from inside to outside and on the right side they go from outside to inside (or the other way around).

Also, those yellow brakes do look more gold, like the carbon brakes on the M6.

This is a tough sell as an aftermarket item, but would look interesting as factory installed, at a much lower price.

As long as this doesn't have the crumbling piston problem, this is good, especially when it offers rotor diameter increase to a size beyond what the current M3 got. And I thought $2k is pretty good value also? Yes the rotor is not the best (not 2 piece floating, not convergent vane design), but I'm sure one can buy better rotors after this initial set is worn out.
I can only dream of 370mm x 30mm rotos on the 135i without breaking the bank...
